George Lucas syndrome strikes again. When will people learn to leave their creative ideas alone? By building on accomplishment simply because of the financial success of the film, they only diminish the originality of the first movie. do you even realize that there is not a sequel for 300? you cant write a story better than the actual historic event that took place. for any die hard fans out there read a book called gates of fire by steven pressfield. you can totally tell when reading it that frank miller used this book in writing 300. the story is more intense too and there are some famous quotes taken out of the book eg our arrows will block out the sun, then we'll fight in the shade.
The original 300 comic book was published between may and spetember of 1998. Gates of Fire was published in October of 1998, so Frank Miller couldn't have plagiarized any dialogue. If anything, Pressfield did.
i used to work in hell's kitchen and saw frank go into one of the nieghborhood bars at 9am. i saw him go into the same bar a few more times until i ended up quiting. frank loves the sauce, man. boy is drunk in quite a few interviews. that said i was a major frank miller fan in the 80's and liked at least half of the sin city stuff. i remember when everything he did was a work of great beauty.

Say whatever about his other 2 movies, but if you dont like the original SINCITY, then you're an idiot . The 1st had GREAT actors, GREAT writing, a GREAT "mobster" theme, and at the time, it was a GREAT NEW artistic direction. I doubt that #2 will surpass the 1st, but I still think it will be an awesome flick. I wonder if the sequal will suffer if Robert Rodriguez isnt there to mentor Frank Miller's directing.I know that Brittany Murphy, & Jessica Alba were supposed to star. But Brit is dead

do you even realize that there is not a sequel for 300? you cant write a story better than the actual historic event that took place. for any die hard fans out there read a book called gates of fire by steven pressfield. you can totally tell when reading it that frank miller used this book in writing 300. the story is more intense too and there are some famous quotes taken out of the book eg our arrows will block out the sun, then we'll fight in the shade.

The original 300 comic book was published between may and spetember of 1998. Gates of Fire was published in October of 1998, so Frank Miller couldn't have plagiarized any dialogue. If anything, Pressfield did.

i used to work in hell's kitchen and saw frank go into one of the nieghborhood bars at 9am. i saw him go into the same bar a few more times until i ended up quiting. frank loves the sauce, man. boy is drunk in quite a few interviews. that said i was a major frank miller fan in the 80's and liked at least half of the sin city stuff. i remember when everything he did was a work of great beauty.

It is a pity that Frank Miller s Material as he is becoming and old man is among the worse comics of all time, for exapmple, DarK Knight 2 was very disappointing, and badly drawn. This man is getting recognition for work he did more than 20 years ago, nowadays he is rather mediocre or awful.

I a m glad you liked it , for me it was a big disapointment, but then again the same happened with Elektra Lives Again, for me Miller reached a crative peak on 1986 , with Dark Knight Returns, Year One , and the magnificent Born Again, from then the quality of his work went down. If you compare Dark Knight with Kingdom Come ( a real great read), you can see that Miller los his touch , he is not innovative, creative, his artwork seems rashed. If you like that fine for you I dont

you know these movies are not based upon the main actors so much as the plot, so could have a whole new cast where spartans fight the persians or even include Troy into it who knows, if anyone can make it work it's him. Genius except for the spirit which was subpar
