I'm a real-life gay cop. The big glaring mistake here is that Oliver has his duty uniform on in the bar. In most jurisdictions, it's actually illegal for an officer to hang out in a bar with his or her uniform and badge on unless they're in pursuit or performing official business.

Cont: The scenes between him and Gigi, when Gigi tries to seduce him, to get him to help her identify the donor for stem cells that would save her son's life are very enlightening. She asks him "how can you live with yourself". Kyle says "it isn't easy". But he still won't give up the donor's name unless Gigi will get Natalie and Jared to drop the blackmail charges against him.

Kyle wasn't a sympathetic character when he first started on the show. If you watch the set of Kyle and Fish part 1 through part 34 (and counting), earlier pieces give a flavor of some of Kyle's shenanagans.

I've only started watching since the Kyle/Oliver thing started, but I get from the dialog that Kyle is supposed to have done some bad stuff earlier. It's hard to picture that, though, since this Kyle seems like he could not hurt a fly. (He's hung up on a past relationship, probably his first serious one... which puts him in the same boat as everyone else alive, but other than that...) The comment about Oliver being perfect... everyone should have a Kyle of their own. Geez.

TheBruceVain, Ha he probably wouldn't physically hurt a fly but Kyle would certainly blackmail it. But that was old Kyle and even then he wasn't doing it to be evil he just made some bad choices. And yes oliver was Kyle's first serious relationship. rooting for Oliver and Kyle but poor Nick is such a nice guy too.
