Don’t go one step beyond it in your reform on music.

To condemn ALL movement of the "flesh" to ANY rhythm that does so is just not biblical. He's confusing the good with the bad here.

I googled Ivor Meyers and Jeremiah Davis and realize that they all belong to a secret group of extremist pastors. Incidentally Jeremiah came to our church and basically split it back in 2007 and it was a huge mistake. I believe he has been banned by several conferences and belongs to an organization who require people to send their tithe directly to them!!

Pastor Myers does not belong to a secret group of extremist pastors. He is employed by the denomination. Perhaps there are websites that post sermons by Pastor Myers but that does not mean that the speakers know each other or all heavily connected. As for Jeremiah Davis, he is a member of good standing of the church and he does not advocate tithes to go to him. Its sad when people jump to conclusion and assumptions. I pray this clarifies some misinformation.
Ivor makes some good points about worldly hip hop and rock and it is true that we should not listen to music that proclaims unchristian like morals however the examples of the music that he played that he calls good music was the same feel and style that extreme pastors preached from the pulpit in the 80s saying we should not listen to New Age music
This 13 part series is another doctrine and method used to divide and split churches. It causes friction and hate within churches and brings out the worst in us. I use to be catholic, I was raised it. I no longer BELIEVE IT. why? too many lies from the church. It is a statement of fact which you don't seem to need any proof to justify, do you? How can you tell when somebody's lying to you? As for the Earth's shape, it doesn't matter what I believe or don't believe about it. What matters is what can be observed, verified and used to better understand our universe. What I think is irrelevant.

@pakenhamin Use combinations and variants of the keywords: "religion, list, complete, denominations, sects, all , known" Note: when you find a religion you never heard of, you can be almost sure it has at least a few separate denominations. In either case, these numbers are estimations, it would be physically impossible to check the beliefs of 7 billions people.

First off God can use whatever He wants to-to reach whomever He wants to and still get the glory out of all this. God used a donkey for goodness sake, I think He can use music. Don't forget when scripture talks about those that judge others yet they do the same things them selves. Also when scripture says don't be so quick to judge by appearance but by righteous judgment. @theonewillcome God never wants us to do things against His will for us. But He may guide us into a knowledge of what is sin and sinful. and convict us on that sin. That is why he doesn't smoke anymore nor advocates it. He was convicted that it was sin and allowed God to remove it from His life. Just as I today may not be convicted of a certain sin but as I grow in God and become closer to Him there will be sins in my life that become evident.

For we do not wrestle with flesh and blood but with principalities. Carnality is a fruit of a child. But while you may have walked and talked as a child in this video it is time for you to grow into the fullness of God and mature your spirit man and alter your mindset. The Spirit of God reigns. The God I serve doesn't tremble at the sound of hip hop because the Bible says that Jehovah, the most high God created music for his PERSONAL pleasure and no amount of evil or demonic forces can overtake it. Do you believe God? When we interject God into our mainstream music we are bringing the light of Jesus to the forefront. Your personal plight with music is unique to you and you only. That Jesus was not the Lion of the Tribe of Judah but someone else...They didn't hold in favor the lineage of Christ and one of the outward representations (characteristics) of their beliefs were the locking of the hair. A young man at our church is currently so troubled by the message in this 13 part series. He is now so confused. He plays the snare drum in a marching band who is about ready to go to competition. I googled Ivor Meyers and Jeremiah Davis and realize that they all belong to a secret group of extremist pastors. Incidentally Jeremiah came to our church and basically split it back in 2007 and it was a huge mistake. I believe he has been banned by several conferences and belongs to an organization who require people to send their tithe directly to them!!

Pastor Myers does not belong to a secret group of extremist pastors. He is employed by the denomination. Perhaps there are websites that post sermons by Pastor Myers but that does not mean that the speakers know each other or all heavily connected. As for Jeremiah Davis, he is a member of good standing of the church and he does not advocate tithes to go to him. Its sad when people jump to conclusion and assumptions. I pray this clarifies some misinformation.

Ivor makes some good points about worldly hip hop and rock and it is true that we should not listen to music that proclaims unchristian like morals however the examples of the music that he played that he calls good music was the same feel and style that extreme pastors preached from the pulpit in the 80s saying we should not listen to New Age music

This 13 part series is another doctrine and method used to divide and split churches. It causes friction and hate within churches and brings out the worst in us. The discussions and fights that has happened at our church as a result of this is so sad because it has caused a major detour from what God calls us to do which is to Love God and our neighbor and make disciples of the unsaved

Warning! If you are one who will sit and listen to a sermon and never search the scriptures to see whether these things are so then you will be deceived by this 13 part series. The very thing that Ivor feels qualifies himself ( a once hip hop star) is the very thing that has conditioned his mind to believe that any music with a rhythm is of the devil. This 13 part series uses dictionary definitions, bible texts and quotes from Ellen White out of context to support this made up doctrine!
