its a moronic waste of money, Proton collisions at near light speed occur millions of times per second all around our magnetosphere, all one has to do is measure using sattelites. That stupid machine will, at best recreate a tiny aurora borealis. THESE ARE OUR TAXES DAMN IT-
@damian13531 u dont think they've already thought of that and probably found a fault? dont try to sound all smart, its not like they r using an 8 million machine just cuz they got bored
Did this great test happened yet. I been wondering if they did it yet if it went well or not. Really like to learn all about the big bang and hope the world learns all about it.
I have a large penis, and my jizz hits vaginas at the speed of light creating mini blackholes that eat up my own sperm. What does this all mean? I use my LHC as a condom
Anyone else notice that the History Channel tries to appeal to the dumbest of its viewers by trying to hype everything with "thrilling" music and narration? That kind of crap turns me off. I miss Carl Sagan.
@DerkyDerkJerb I recomend you to see the BBC documentaries of Dr. Al-Khalili, they are made for people like you and me, dumb people never see these documentaries so I do not understand why trying to make it appealing to them. The following link wil take you to his documentary: youtube.com/watch?v=DDtFqRRBuPs&feature=related
Worst comes worst... They put too much energy into it... too much gravity vs. energy... an extremely small black hole pops open... it's not controlled... it goes bigger as it eats material... we die.
I'm a Christian but I'm totally willing to keep Religion and Science Separated. If God exists, and He chose to use the Big Bang and Evolution as His methods of creation then that shouldn't bother anyone, Atheist or Religious. Why limit God? Why question His methods of Creation? Not all Christians or Buddhists or Muslims are morons! Some fundamentalists make all Christians look bad and that's not fair to those of us who support Science!!
No one will ever really know how everything started. It messes with your head when you try and think about if the great blackness of space has always been around or if there was something before that.
God may not make sense to where he came from but hes there and you will find out when you get there. thats all you need to know, if you have faith in the lord you, you will eventually learn how everything really happend
Look, the big bang might sound like an interesting idea but at the end of the day you still have to ask yourself: Where did the elements to initiate the big bang come from? where did those come from? then those? and those??
Something does not come from nothing, including God.....Seriously, life makes no sense...no matter how eloquent it might seem..
@Garcia0384 i like to think that its so the universe will end finally, with some force pulling everything together once again (intead of the expansion now) until the mass of everything is so concentrated in one point that a big bang occurs and thus repeating the creation circle once again
@Garcia0384 Quantum fluctuations tell us something came come from nothing. Life may not make sense to the human mind, but our minds didn't evolve to understand life. But clearly, the universe works. We're just trying our best to understand it.
I believe in evolution and am fascinated by science. I mostly am athiest, but give consideration to that small possiblity that god does exist in some mysterious way.
But where did the quarks come from before the big bang?
Something just doesn't make sense about this. Something created out of nothing? Very confusing.

I would have enough trust that someone who knows how to build a particle collider would be smart enough to know it won't create a black hole.
