  • hell yea, that bob knows how to run a game i want to play with him

  • 1:30 guy wants someone to poo on his chest

  • *acceptance* woops :P

  • I can't believe her parents wouldn't let her do alleged "boy stuff." That's a horrible violation of rights!!!! Anyway, I do find it interesting that she says girls might be more hesitant to play because of the social exceptance issue. I never thought of that when I started playing, I just thought it was fun!! And I have only ever found the same level of acceptance in one other peer group, I have to say. Currently, I think d&d is the best part of my life.

  • Old, creepy DM guy, who has lots of school kids hanging aruond his store and is trusted by the parents, has young girl's character raped by demons.

You know Bob, I think you *might* have made a bad call on that one...

  • I would give an arm to have Bob be my DM.

  • Bob, you got inside *my* head too deep.

  • LOL D&D is a recruitment tool for the occult. Now get back to church and drink symbolic blood, eat symbolic flesh, and partake in ancient rituals!

  • @xylemphoenix Hahaha, I go to church every Sunday and I think it makes people way more crazy than DnD does.

  • Bob is a GREAT DM - Roleplaying is a way to explore dark concepts of reality, with more depth than film or literature. For example, characters regularly kill foes, therefore they may at times be Murdering. Rape is like Murder - a heinous concept - thus safely explored in roleplaying. Those with fragile psychology are usually the best at immersion, and games around them are deeper than just hack and slash. Such DM's do such players a favor giving a hypothetical place to explore - safely.

  • I'm currently running a game in which my players are all evil. Really fun to be honest.

  • @EldritchThing

I just got done playing an evil campaign. I loved it!! I was a goblin magic-user (the whole party consisted of monster races) got up to level 12 when we sacked the capitol of a small nation and "retired". Starting a new campaign this friday and i'm excited!

  • @SPENCERandLEE That sounds frickin awesome! Ours is a sort-of Holy War between Orcus Demon Prince of the Undead, and a homebrew Demon Prince. Also there's a pretty interesting side-plot regarding a "Sentient God Virus" which is altering the beasts, vermin and some tribes of monstrous humanoids into mindless killing machines.

  • oooh! (shivers) I want to play with this guy! I played a paladin that was totally despised by my party. Vampiric ring of regeneration? I sacrifice it and destroy it! Ring of 3 wishes? I give them to my deity! Deity says you have one wish for yourself. My response? But I don't know how to do that!

  • 1:40 wow that's pretty fucked up, really fucked up. I mean when i think of horror i think of H.P. Lovecraft or Poe or someone, but man that's a pretty shitty thing to do...

  • I definately play psychological games, or at least try to, but not like this Bob guy. If players are walking out, it's not cause they couldn't handle it, it's cause you're a horrible DM!

  • Anyone else notice that 90% of the published pics in the doc come just from the old Players' Handbook?

  • lol its a game who gives a shit

  • Bob's a suckass DM. It's just an example of him abusing his power as DM to fuck over the players when they don't follow the storyline the way he wants them to. You're a shitty DM if your only solution is to have the Angel of Death pop up and immediately drag a player's soul to Hell. Then he harasses the players later on. Fuck you Bob!

  • I like his way of DMing. I am a big horror fan , maybe the raping and stuff was kinda too far , because that is sickening. I prefer Lovecraft's "Fear of the Unknown" method.

  • Love the joseph campbell reference!

  • My neutral evil fighter raped a female paladin during camp and she lost her paladinhood and became just a regular fighter. Then I killed her, but I paid for the resurrection.

  • @bongcouver so what? who cares?

  • @Toxicrafa again...sorry for the rape. I didn't know I would meet you again. It was fun, no? now, go fuck off!

  • @bongcouver Your first comment made everyone think you were an idiot. Now you've just proved it!

  • @Toxicrafa get fucked !

  • The girl at 4:44 is very annoying and a fucking drama queen

  • i like bobs method, a bit of cthulhu in there

  • this guy owns

  • That is not appropriate. I would walk away from the table if someone player or ST did that.

  • bob's method was cool, i love the mental manipulation tecnics that are out there, nothing beter then to get into someones head and screw with it

  • Ethics, good vs evil, what a load of pompous preachy crap. "Evil" is just a label people stick on other people they don't like!

  • Now I dunno.. I don't think genocide could be placed on that "good" slot.

  • That man deserves a medal. Epic trolling.

  • Lol i play dnd and 40k and mmorpgs and i couldnt care less what people think i mean i do judo and rugby as well and to be honest most people couldnt care less what others do in their spare time. Its thoses few anoying people who call it really nerdy who have problems

  • Doesn't matter if they were adults or not, the guy is a fucking creep.

  • That Bob guy really doesn't get it. Thats not the way to run a game. No wonder non-gamers think we're weird or demon-worshippers.

  • It was his game. There's no one way to run D&D; that's why it's so great. His way was psychological horror; agree with it or not, it was obviously effective.

  • @zfatalismz but was that the game his players agreed to? how did he know this woman wasn't a rape victim? certain things don't need to be brought to the table.

  • @TheGMsGuide No but you also can't expect DM's to run a psychological background check to avoid things that may upset certain members of the group. At some point, people need to take responsibility over t hemselves, which in that case the girl did. She left the game when it became too much for her, which was the smart and right thing to do.

  • @peri2502 a player leaving over the rape of her character is not the same as bad synergy with the group. I under stand your point, because i had a girl who was schizophrenic join my group once and she had a break down after a verbal confrontation with an npc. i didn't know about her condition before hand and i still feel bad years later. what he did was not cool, period.

  • That's the thing though. There are other tabletop games than DnD which are much scarier. We don't worship demons, but non-gamers would have the same reaction to any part of DnD.

  • @EryxUK I get your angle, first off. I won't pretend not to understand. But Bob's angle is a different angle. Agreeing with zfatalismz, it's psychological horror. The stuff of Poe and Lovecraft. In D&D you will either be broken mentally or physically. Bob takes the mental route.

  • @EryxUK man it sounds like he is a great dm that can tell a great story. one of the main selling points of the game is to run it ur way

  • @EryxUK No shit, he sounds like he barely follows the modules and makes up shit on the spot, and he is proabably a big PEDO! He looks like one!

  • @EryxUK It shows a valid danger of D&D if your DM is evil he can infect the players of the group with nasty thoughts.

  • After hearing Bob's description of that scenario with the angle of death, you have to ask. How old was the girl playing the paladin o__o .....

  • He clearly states in the beginning of the clip ". . .now these were adults"

  • Comment removed

  • Demon Gang Bang!

  • i know a really cool place to larp. Or even renaissance, its sooo good. ANYWAY, that should only be done with best friends. Sooooo....
