The House did not impeach Clinton for infidelity. He was impeached for perjury and for obstruction of justice. Newt's own daughter from his first marriage defends him from the 'divorcing his wife in the hospital' lie that has gotten out of control for the past couple of decades. I think that the social conservatives are going to see a reformed man who learned from his past mistakes.

I don't really think he's stealing that much from Ron Paul.

He sounded this way from the start and even though I believe him to be perfectly *CORRUPT* I do respect his message.

Ron Paul is what the U.S needs. It's so obvious if your'e an outsider and enough aware of the medias tries to "silence" him using pure propaganda techniques.

For those familiar with the Bible and the people God used in powerful ways, He used many, many people who had earlier failings in their personal lives, right up to and including murder. If Newt has repented, and he has, and has asked forgiveness, and he has, what makes us as mere humans believe we have a right to judge Newt more severely than God does? God gave us a chance at redemption....real believers understand the power and benefits of grace and mercy.

Unfortunately I cannot get past Newt's infidelity issue with his dying wife several years ago...at the SAME TIME he was pointing his finger at Bill Clinton for "his" infidelity. Hypocrisy is bad enough, but BLATANT hypocrisy will never get my vote.

@Hidajunshin Newt pressed his first wife to finalize their divorce while she was in the hospital recovering from cancer surgery. Following that, he then cheated on his second wife with his current wife. Trying to impeach a president for infidelity while engaging in it yourself will take some explaining. His marital behavior is going to raise a lot of eyebrows among the social conservatives and make it very difficult to gain the votes he will need to carry the Bible belt states.
