Defusing a nuclear device is not the easiest thing in the world, it would be far easier for whoever owns the bomb to remotely detonate it, they simply detonated it before it could be defused. There would be no "cutting the wrong wire", as its conventional explosives that set off the nuclear materal inside the bomb, not some shoddy little pipe bomb controlled by an alarm clock. Man you people have no clue what you talk about.

A nuclear explosion has parts,that each have there own amount of destruction. The NEST teams(the disarmers),were at the part closest,so they DIED COMPLETELY,and there area was Severely destroyed,while Jackson,was probably in the part after so his was destroyed terribly. Also, since it was a nuke,the radiation effects from the bomb,helped in killing Jackson,and any survivors(not to mention wounds from the crash)

Does anyone GET IT!?!?! THe whole point of Jackson was a tutorial. The nuc was not set off by the disarmers, it was on a time limit. (hint: the time limit while you were saving her ass) They didn't make it in time.
