DJ, Ben Wallace, Bill Russell, Bruce Bowens, Byron Scott... these guys are great defenders, but had major flaws in their respective offensive game. Scott was also recognizing as a good defender; that’s why Pat Riley asked Scott to guard Jordan (not Magic, because he didn’t look brilliant on a few occasions). In fact, Jordan could guard SF, SG, PG which is rare in the NBA!

@ Bumperboy2sports The top 5 players can go in any order depending on who you are and what you value. I have no problem with you thinking Kareem is the greatest player. Kareem's achievements are second to none. A video call Jordan vs Bird don't necessary mean Jordan guard Bird and Bird guard Jordan. There's video on youtube that says "Kobe vs Tracy vs Lebron" it don't literally mean that. Many of the "all time greats" consider Jordan as the greatest.
