Sorry but the semis are well known for jamming they dont like to cycle light loads,but they are cheap and not bad value for money,you get what you pay for.

I don;t know about semis, don't own one, but I have had that shotgun for 2 and half years now, shoot the crap out if it every other weekend, and I have never had a problem with it. The only parts I had to change are the follower (is really crappy) and the mag spring. Wilson Combat's follower and spring for the Remy 870 fit nicely

How much did you pay for it. I got a old mossberg for 140 bucks. I had a gun smith go over it. he check it at 75 percent good gun.

$275, plus taxes. I got it brand new when they first brought them here 2 years ago. The semis have become very popular with the hunters.

I used to own a Mossy 590. I regret selling it. Probably the best shotgun I have owned

Cool, thanks. You can have whatever accessories you like as long as you keep the shotgun longer than 40 inches. Also we are limited to two rounds in the magazine. The semi is a full £40 more (shock horror) not that much I know, but I like the idea of working (pest control and hunting) with a pump better than a semi. Semis are very popular here, and that's another reason I want a pump, just to be different. Thanks again for the advice, would it be possible to get a vid of stripping that beast.

Hello m8. Get the semi-auto. Pump is good, semi auto is sweet. I have heard only good things about them, from actual owners, who I know personally. I think they are very popular in the UK. As for accessories, you going to have to try with your local dealer. I don't know how is the law over there, but here, thanks to some stupid-ass import restrictions, I can't get no collapsible stock, etc. I was able to get a 20 inch barrel, a pistol grip, and a 7 round magazine tube at the gunbroker website.
