He is handsome. His accident gave him personality and his humanity is admirable and contagious not to mention how attractive his zest for life and self confidence are. Anyone roused on his imperfections, physical ones, have not looked themselves in a mirror or have an unrealistic notion of their own attractive.
This was my favorite dance of the season. This performance made me like the dreaded Quickstep. Congrats on their win. Well deserved! JR entertained and danced well all season... By far the BEST dancer this season.

Compared to the Chicago (Musical) version of this record, the singer of the opening lyrics of the DWTS version is done with much greater conviction. The lyric line, "shorter and a shorter" is pronounced in the style of James Cagney. It then ends with the line "lets all drive to hell in a fast car, and keep it HOT". The vocalists rasps the word HOT with such relish that you now it is burning. A brillantly chereographed Quickstep/Charleston executed by a pair of gifted dancers
Fantastic! Helio's BananaMan quickstep was excellent but this was also stunning. Ricki Lake's Quickstep fab too. Much prefer DWTS to our Strictly Come Dancing in the UK. Ricki & JR should be the two finalists. Nobody else compares. 3rd place is open. Would love to see Nancy & Tristan make the final too but they keep voting Hope in!
This was fantastc & JR is a sweetheart. I think he and Ricki are both fantastic and very competitive. Hope to see them both in the finals. No need to criticize others. As far as the pros go it's their job to do the best they can to bring their partner the MBT. They 'ALL" work hard for it and are in it to win it!
Very good JR so light and fun, reminds me of Evan and Anna's Quickstep to this song. If JR or Ricki wins I'll be happy long as Maks doesn't he's way too arrogant and doesnt' choreograph good freestyles. Karina deserves a win she's a fantastic Dancer.

I think what's so special about J.R. and Karina is how transformational their dances are. They always look the part they're playing and make you believe they really are those characters. I swear this dance should could have been in black and white, with them driving off in an old-fashioned car with shark fins at the end :) I half-expected J.R. to pull out a pocket watch and a flask of whiskey!
This was my favorite dance of the night and I loved Karina's outfit and wig it fit perfectly with the setting of the dance! The choreography's awesome too. All of the pros are really stepping it up this season with awesome routines :D
Karina is PHENOMENAL...this number really speaks to her talent...she carried it. I don't understand the tongue being stuck out all the time...I really hope he stops that...it detracts from his otherwise really great performances.
both brilliant choreography by both Karina & Derek.JR & Ricki' did great but I love JR's much more. He deserved a perfect score in this one., JR is the best dancer this season.
Both Ricki & JR gave impeccable performances and I would have given them both a score of 10. I suspect that since Len penalized Ricki for tilting her head, his giving JR a 9 as well is an indication that he rated JR's dance as good but not better than Ricki's. I wonder if all three judges HAD to pick one couple's dance from this show over the other, which one would come out on top.
@sonofderno I think maybe Len saw that JR maybe missed a step. In all honestly, I liked this dance ending better than The Encore Dance ending. I prefer Karina's outstanding choreography over Derek's, JR's dancing over Ricki's dancing. IMO, he's the better dancer and he executed Karina's difficult choreographed Quickstep. Btw, dancing in those slippery shoes wasn't easy, either. JR really was phenomenal!!! JMO, the answer to who would the judges pick is Derek's choreography over Karina's, period.

I never really thought that Helio's quickstep was that great. I thought there were others much better (Apolo Ohno's, for example). And I though that this quickstep beat Helio's right into the basement! And great support from the other cast members, with the exception of one person. Do you see who I mean?
Karina has faith in him to perform her difficult choreographed Quickstep routine & JR didn't let Karina down..That was Fantastic!!! He is truly Amazing!! IMO, that was the best dance of the night. He's my favorite, the best celebrity dancer & I hope he win cause he's the best of this season!!!
@JulesHough OMG I thought I was the only person who remembered that! haha Season 10 of DWTS was in my opinion, THE BEST, (and Evan and Anna are my fav. DWTS couple of all time). But I thought J.R. and Karina performed this dance beautifully. :)
@AFVfan1 HA! I was just going to post that I can't help but measure this up to Evan and Anna's quickstep - JR even did the cartwheel at the end like Evan! While I think Evan's dance was better, this was definitely good and I'm pulling for a JR win (and seeing a pro who has never won before (cough cough Karina) would be really nice).
@JulesHough I KNOW MINE TOO!!! Before Season 10, I had never paid that much attention to DWTS. But when season 10 started, the second I saw Evan Lysacek dance, I was in love! They were my #1 favorite couple from day 1. He was amazingly talented, but what I loved most was Evan's personality and the chemistry between he and Anna. There were times when I kind of felt they were underscored by the judges. I wanted SO BADLY for Evan/Anna to win. Ugh why'd it have to be Derek/Nicole? He's won enough
Onto the actual video... J.R. is the man! Every season I garner a favorite; last season it was Chelsea Kane, S11 it was Kyle Massey, the season before it was Nicole, and now this season it's him. You can tell J.R. really wants this from the way he rehearses with Karina, the way he takes on the difficult choreography. His personality is a winner, he's absolutely charming, just all-around a great guy I really want to see win it all now. Who agrees? :)
I love how in this same episode we hear Maks telling Hope in their rehearsals that he's close to losing faith in her. Meanwhile in Karina and JR's rehearsals we hear Karina telling JR she has all the faith in the world in him and that's why she's giving him such difficult choreography. Karina finally has a season to shine and show off her amazing choreography. Meanwhile Maks' continues to expose himself for the rude, disrespectful, grump that he truly is.
What a sweet man =) he just makes u smile! And I find myself impressed with karina, great choreography and execution! Seems like its going to be JR and Rikki in the finals...

I think what's so special about J.R. and Karina is how transformational their dances are. They always look the part they're playing and make you believe they really are those characters. I swear this dance should could have been in black and white, with them driving off in an old-fashioned car with shark fins at the end :) I half-expected J.R. to pull out a pocket watch and a flask of whiskey!

This was my favorite dance of the night and I loved Karina's outfit and wig it fit perfectly with the setting of the dance! The choreography's awesome too. All of the pros are really stepping it up this season with awesome routines :D

Both Ricki & JR gave impeccable performances and I would have given them both a score of 10. I suspect that since Len penalized Ricki for tilting her head, his giving JR a 9 as well is an indication that he rated JR's dance as good but not better than Ricki's. I wonder if all three judges HAD to pick one couple's dance from this show over the other, which one would come out on top.

@sonofderno I think maybe Len saw that JR maybe missed a step. In all honestly, I liked this dance ending better than The Encore Dance ending. I prefer Karina's outstanding choreography over Derek's, JR's dancing over Ricki's dancing. IMO, he's the better dancer and he executed Karina's difficult choreographed Quickstep. Btw, dancing in those slippery shoes wasn't easy, either. JR really was phenomenal!!! JMO, the answer to who would the judges pick is Derek's choreography over Karina's, period.

I never really thought that Helio's quickstep was that great. I thought there were others much better (Apolo Ohno's, for example). And I though that this quickstep beat Helio's right into the basement! And great support from the other cast members, with the exception of one person. Do you see who I mean?

@JulesHough I KNOW MINE TOO!!! Before Season 10, I had never paid that much attention to DWTS. But when season 10 started, the second I saw Evan Lysacek dance, I was in love! They were my #1 favorite couple from day 1. He was amazingly talented, but what I loved most was Evan's personality and the chemistry between he and Anna. There were times when I kind of felt they were underscored by the judges. I wanted SO BADLY for Evan/Anna to win. Ugh why'd it have to be Derek/Nicole? He's won enough

Onto the actual video... J.R. is the man! Every season I garner a favorite; last season it was Chelsea Kane, S11 it was Kyle Massey, the season before it was Nicole, and now this season it's him. You can tell J.R. really wants this from the way he rehearses with Karina, the way he takes on the difficult choreography. His personality is a winner, he's absolutely charming, just all-around a great guy I really want to see win it all now. Who agrees? :)

I love how in this same episode we hear Maks telling Hope in their rehearsals that he's close to losing faith in her. Meanwhile in Karina and JR's rehearsals we hear Karina telling JR she has all the faith in the world in him and that's why she's giving him such difficult choreography. Karina finally has a season to shine and show off her amazing choreography. Meanwhile Maks' continues to expose himself for the rude, disrespectful, grump that he truly is.
