All I did to beat this was take the artillery in front of the church, then hijacked one of the tanks and blasted all the other tanks, easy

on this lvl i used a helicopter for the first few tanks then when ran out of ammo i aimed and crashed the heli into the tank blowing up 2 of them i jumped not knowing it would actully blow up

I cannot for the life of me beat this mission, for one reason only, as i shoot the recoilless rifle, one of the P.L.A.V. guys calls their leader saying that i am killing their dudes when i was killing the oncoming attacks of tanks, not even splash damage, just the fact that i am firing. Does anyone know a fix?

warleader i advise you dont. the game sucked! sure a nice range of humongous vehicles (Cargo ships and Gigantic helicopters) but i completed it in the main story line in 4 hours and the whole game in 10. But there is some ups! Nuclear weapontry and custom vehicles ( Panzercycle - Tracked motorcycle and the urban commando - Sports car with gun on top.)

Dont worry if the church gets destroyed just make sure you do not except to do the mission over right away. it will say that you failed the mission on the screen, but the tracking will not stop. once you hear that he is at the soccer stadium restart the mission. once restarted you just have to go to the stadium to kill him and then you complete the mission. instead of having to do the whole mission over it starts you at the end of it. You have to go to the stadium only.

Yeah, you definitely should. It is a lot of fun, kind of similar to GTA IV in a way, but with destructible environments, etc. Obviously not as open ended as GTA IV is however.
