Here's a handy tip try to make friends with just about everyone because u won't suffer from things like bullying

1 you might have made friends with a bully(I know you'll be thinking omg I don't want to be friends with a bully u don't need to hang with them just be nice.

Sure, the best ways to handle people you don't like are to do one or more of the following things:

1. Avoid them (this is probably the least preferable, because it's hard, and uncomfortable.)

2. Befriend them (This is probably the second least preferable, because it's also hard, and uncomfortable, but perhaps if you get to know them... you'll find out they're not that bad?)

3. Find something about them that you admire/like/appreciate/underst­and or something that explains why they're some way

you don't like. People aren't who they are for no reason.

and

4. Tell them you dislike them, and reasons why and resolve these reasons either yourself or together (depending on who is to blame).

Most importantly: get them to like you, be patient and respectful even if they're not, and do not let yourself get run over by others. (Finally, it's vital to your health to forgive people of any pain they cause. Forgiveness is complete or it isn't really forgiveness.)

this year is my first year of high school, already I am very sad. No one wants to be my friend because where I am, girls only have friends if they have a boy friend. I have an arranged marriage so because of that now I have no friends. I have my family when I come home, but it is very sad to be so lonely at school. What should I do?

Best of luck! Remember: a smile is more appealing than a frown, and a lot more fun in general, being true to who you are will make your friendships more authentic.

My tips are these:

1) Be outgoing and friendly, even if you're shy.

2) Remember not to take it too hard if someone decides they don't like you. You can't please everyone, or control anyone other than yourself.

Finally,

3) If you're still concerned that this isn't working, then try joining a group or club that meets regularly, if possible. (Eg. Chess club, etc.) They're great ways to establish friendships and connections. (Try to choose one that you like.)

It's true, not every high school has mean popular people, but as a general rule, those who are popular and/or attractive in high school let it go to their heads, and instigate negativity towards those who do not have those advantages (either because they intend to do so, or as an accident, not realizing that the things they say and do are hurtful). Another thing to keep in mind is that high school is what ever you make it out to be. Not what others tell you it is. If you go in everyday hating it, then it will most definitely suck. If you love it, it'll rock. I'm 27 now and still remember high school days and wish I could go through it again with the sense I have now.

Sorry, that wasn't my intent. I wasn't trying to say that nobody is trustworthy, however, I WAS trying to say to be cautious. Although there is the likeliness that someone 'popular' will be honest, sincere, and overall nice, it is still very common that they are not.
