  • i think you're one of those useful idiots that you speak of.

  • obama is corrupt

  • Battim you are oviously well informed.....what a country this would be if everyone was open minded like you....Republican=Democrate, the only difference between them...... is that there is no difference between them....if that makes any sense

  • It is a false left right paradigm.

There will be no change....none, zero ,zilch.

TV and fluoride damages brain tissue..makes you very pliable for their propaganda..look it up

Neither "accomplished" man were born on US soil, making them ineligible to run for POTUS.

It is a game , an illusion, watch The Owners of the Country- George Carlin

  • its is a false left right paradigm. i agree.

  • Neither since we're canadian which is what gives us a different perspective on the election.

Obama is who we hope wins for the sake of your country and the planet. Perception makes up a huge part of politics and internationally McCain is seen as more of the same.

    Bush, part deux.

And he's not helping himself by pulling the party line these days. He really needs to distance himself from the Bush administration a lot more than he is. The whole world needs the change.

  • you guys don't get it, stop playing damn video games and watching porn, listen to your god-given instincts or whats left of them. none of these clowns will be president. Wake the hell up, THIS IS THE END OF THE LINE.

  • whose gonna be president then?

  • Happy IV of Julio!

  • cool

  • Your edgy, sexy and cute.

  • Mr. battim: Dear sir, can you not control the ads on your page, some seem quite right wing. Cordially, GlobeBar

  • i cannot control them, youtube decides who advertises on my pages, not me. i hate it.

  • You mean supress an opposing opinion? Well, that's not very free speech of ya. ;-)

  • well i cant tell you that im an idiot....for my stupidity im a big doodoo head i get my news from the colbert report and daily show so yeah

  • hi poopie, you're not a doodoo head. colbert actually makes fun of exactly what i am speaking to. his material is actually better, in its parody of issues that mean nothing really, than most news shows.

  • and last you sort of applaude(?) republicans for picking mccain but in most states huckabee and romney had the majorty together only because they were dividing the religious right mccain won

and because of the winner take all system in the democrat system mccain would have lost aswell

  • a valid point. ok i applaud more rational (yet still brainwashed) republicans for coming out in enough numbers to let to two idiots aforementioned lose. winner take all is not democracy. the electoral system needs an overhaul

  • Also i do think it is important what people around the candidate say a president is not apresident alone the people that he surrounds himself with are just as or even more important

also because i believe that policy is way less important that the persons that are carrying out the policy

  • i agree and i have to say i'm not too impressed by who both of them have surrounded themselves with...

  • I am not a US citizen but i would vote for obama

because it would mean achange of the elite that is in power

in that sense mccain would be a 3rd term of bush

  • as much as i wanted to believe that, obama is certainly nothing but a product of the system and certainly as elite as any of them. i just hope something hits him on the way to try to shake the system the traps him and mccain.

  • no you don' t understand i don' t think he is adifferent sort of politcian or any of that

he is part of a different elite than the elite that is in power now

  • not really...but im glad you have it all figured out (eyes roll). please read up on PPI policy and how it relates to neocn policy. both sides of the aisle were part of this, deal with it.

  • of course there is cooperation between different groups

but that doesn't mean they are all the same

and you don' t have to roll with your eyes i am not that good in putting my thought in words so a lot of people do not understand what i am actually trying to say

  • i just dont see any difference....really. obama has shifted so far right after the general election he is virtually no different that maccain. its only a matter of time......clinton/bush solidified singular american policy...i was rolling my eyes not at you really but at anyone who thinks there is that much different. its the same system with a different name

  • my point is that it is not about obama. obama is running for office and is trying to gaing votes by saying whatever

it is about the elite under obama the people you don't see in front of the camera

  • why can' t you get news from youtube?

I get news from a lot of people i am subscribed to.Iget news from you! just like i get news from people I talk to in real life. you just have to realize that not every one you listen to is a professional just people with an opinion

  • there are some decent vlogs on youtube, i was speaking the the 9/11 trutheers who consider alex jones news.

  • I, too, respect both of them. I'm voting Obama. I read his impressive books. I like his ideas (summarized in Rolling Stone Wenner interview). I wish McCain would have won in 2000. Bush kneecapped him. More than anything else, I've had it with Republicans. Heard one new idea from McCain? I'm still waiting. (Energy contest? See X-Prize, etc.) Connectivity, engagement, involvement of more people; all have far better chance under BHO. Maybe I'm an idiot. But, after all, heads don't vote, hearts do.

  • lately i havent heard anything new from either of them, obama had shifted to the center is is now advocating government funding of religious charities (eyes roll) nothing new on energy from either of them (cept i like more nuke) and honestly obama is now talking two years in iraq, whats new from either of them anymore?

  • Some of the American talk shows, like Late Night with Conan O'Brien, are aired here too. It's somewhat funny and somewhat sad what they're saying in those shallow shows about these candidates and worldwide known celebs. It's a circus. I truly hope it's just a minority watching nothing else but that.

  • Shows like Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Late Show with David Letterman are for entertainment purposes and not a source of news. When they speak of politics, it's meant to be funny. Anyone who takes those shows serious oughta stay out of the voting booth.

  • yeah but honeslty thet give the news as well as olberman or oreilly...lol

  • I think it's kinda funny that people who live in other countries think we consider those late night talk shows to be a source of news - all they do is make fun of the news, how can anyone think we take that serious?

  • fuck if i know, but from traveling abroad i realize i had preconcetions of cultures that were completely off base. so guilty as well on my end.

  • I agree with everything your saying here. 1 thing I cant stop myself from thinking is that perhaps barack obama is supposed to win the election so that we all think that everythings good and there is a change happening when really the war in iraq has allready started so its not just gonna end and everythings gonna go in the same direction. But i really dont know much about politics. Ive alwayse been a little more interested in biology, science and space and shit.

  • And actually I wish Ron Paul got some more support because I think hes the real person we need to take over. Hes all about using hemp for things that we should be using it for. such as gas etc etc etc etc etc etc etc

  • i'm all for hemp farming. as for ron paul, he's just one of them now...

  • i'd think that would take a lot of coordination between folks who really don't like one another.

i'm with you on the science stuff...its makes more sense.

  • I'll vote for the president that says that we can not win the Iraq war. That we will be stuck there for generations to come. I will vote for the president that gets it...so far, our 2 choices are riding rides in Disney land. ~Raven

  • tell me, what is your idea about winnig a war? just wanna give a heads up, it was already won. it took 11 years to reorganize japan, nine to reorganize germany, and they were modern nations. we are amidst a mini poorly planned marshall plan. but if we lost the war, why isnt hussein and the sunni bbaathist still in charge? i dont get this mentality.

  • ~and this is where I appreciate your tenacity - something I don't have. ~Be well.

  • Tim, the situation in Iraq wont be resolved or for a very long time. We will have the minute we leave, the players will create the glue for their allies to hit up Iraq and Israel. On the other side of the coin, Iran, the Hezbollahs, and the Sunni/Shiite inner war, will realize our occupation is there for a long time. The situation in Iraq will go into full blown war. None of our candidates understands the situation at hand. They paint pretty stories so I dont trust their vain optimism. ~Raven

  • of course it wont be resolved, korea isn't resolved. as for leaving, obama has already said thats not in the offing. we are not leaving. the situation in iraq will go into full blown war? can you explain the progress, lack of violence of late (thanks to the military ignoring bush). vain optimism, all we hear is of civil war, and certainly that is not happening, political buzzwords to scare folks. tribal violence is nothing new to mesopotamia, and its not going away.

  • huessin suppressed it with mass killings, are you saying that should be the model? sunnis and baathists are all but gone, al queada in iraq neutralize, shiites taking their place as majority ruler in their democracy, hosptials and schhols nad water works modernized, i'm sorry, where is the loss? if you'd like to discuss the foolhardy way we started and managed the war, thats fair. if you want to condemn going in there to begin with, fine, but we lost? hardly.

  • Part 1~ Tim, its just like I knew immediately and wrote editors 3 days into the Iraq war, and I wrote them telling them that Bush has shook the powers that be and inner civil war would take on new meaning for the Iraqi people. Sunni/Shiite control has shift because Bush removed Hussein. You take the small population that had the upper hand and they battle with the large population that had less rights. You remove the King and the group he favored, and you stir the pot. ~Raven

  • Part 2~ Its just about history and people. The only going on right now is in the back burner, enemies are becoming allies. They are forming their allegiances prior to they fighting the United States. It takes a couple of years to set this up. Right now, its just a minor illusion as Iran, and the Hezbollahs join forces with those against the United States in Iraq. I give it about 2 more years. ~Raven

  • Part 3~ If you look at why man seeks war and how the powers have been shaken in Iraq, its a no brainer that a bigger war is being organized.

Bush took power away from the Sunni and man's history proves a retaliation always comes, payback is a given. Iran will side with the Sunni and the Shiites with have US support. Its gonna happen. You can take power away and not expect someone to want it back. ~Raven

  • i think you have given into conspiracy theories, if a bigger war was being planned, it would have happened long before the election. the assumption you make have no evidence to support them and nothing has happened to make it so, in fact, the violence and unrest has cooled...the saudi's have reinstated their power in the region and all is back to where it began little by little. politically iraq should be interesting, but a bigger war? nah.

  • paranoia reigns. the baathist are gone, noone to take it back. seriously.

  • enemies are not becoming allies. first you say look at history and then you ignore it. shiites and sunnis have never neeb allies. persinans and arabs have never bene allies. hezbollah has nothing to do with iraq...sunni insurgencies, islamic brotherhood, al quaeda, and tirbal shiite faction vying for power are the problem here.

  • of course you stir the pot...if they wanted to keep the shiites at bay they would have done how we did it in 91, cut it off, keep the shiites south and the kurds up north. we wanted the shiites to invade bagdhad. thats called poor management

  • by the way when the big war happens (not) and the stock market crashes (not) ....blah blah blah...we've been hearing this mishmash for 5 years and still no big war. really. and an election that will ensure there is no big war. obama is way ahead, was that part of bush's master plan too? c'mon, they dont have the power you give them, never have, never will.

  • Tim, if we go back before Rome, we have plenty of history of war to make some pretty accurate predictions about how man behaves. If you think Iraq isnt going to explode into a greater war, well...I would have to disagree. Its nothing more than understanding the essence of mans cruelty. He always desires power and right now in Iraq, its alive and well. ~Raven

  • certainly you can't ignore recent history. im not going back to rome. im gonig back to yesterday, and the day before, etc etc. disagree all you want, so far, it hasn't happened. the majority has that power now.

  • I'm voting Obama because he seems to be an exceptional person with enough vigor to take office. I'm unhappy with the disastrous Mccain speeches & bumbling public statements. We've already had 8 years of that.

Can we expect change from the politicians that ride in limos everyday. Hell no. I don't watch the news because it never changes. Newsflash- The wealthy are in power- end of story

  • he is a good speaker, but i'll say this, obama called jerusalem israel's capital which is a huge blunder as well...

  • "useful idiot"... God, I love that phrase. Thanks a million for introducing it. I'll be using that in my real-life vernacular.

    Fivers.

  • My main concern about Obama is how, according to the news reports I've seen, he has amassed a $270 million campaign fund, whereas John McCain has only amassed 110 million, which is slightly more than a third of that amount... and, even more curiously, how Obama says he won't take public contributions.

If this is the case, how in the world is he getting all that money? Who's funding him so heavily? And how is it that he can almost literally do no wrong in the media's eyes?

  • I mean, I'm not necessarily believing that he IS a Muslim, but I am inclined to wonder if, perhaps, he isn't either knowingly or unknowingly being funded by the wealthy Arab oil cartels, because they think that will essentially buy them proxy control over American foreign policy, by means of Obama's appreciation for their money.

Is this concern irrational? I'm not so sure.

  • Nice to see someone thinking. How is it that Obama Hussein can do no wrong in the media's eyes? Media: 93% Democrat, 3% Republican, 3% "other" (socialist?)

THAT'S how! IMO (to be politically correct, 'cause that's important!)

  • the cult of personality is odd....very odd.

  • lately i am begining to think there is little difference between socialist and democrat. the 3 percent other is probably libertarian, constitutional, green, etc etc.

  • the media is what it is...a pawn.

  • I think Abraham Lincoln was the last president that put his oposition into his cabinet. I wish people would realize that the media isn't helpful and just full of gossip. And i hate to say it, but that's what this election will come down to just like it always has. Bush was the guy you could have a beer with. Christ! He's an alcoholic, and I want a president that leaves me sitting with my mouth open in awe.

  • lol. i dont wanna have a beer with an alcoholic, either. yes, i agree, and I am in awe of neither of these guys. useful idiots those media folks. that being said clinton had a few republicans in his cabinet, this bush had a holdover from clinton's years, but you mean a cabinet that disagreed. was that by circumstance, no?

  • you look like brad pitt

  • lol. i wish i had 1/100 of his cash

  • where do you get your news?

  • the Economist, Stratfor, BBC.

I also watch Al Jazeera english because their grasp on middle eastern history is emphasized more than the western press (who ignore it).

my american news i am a c-span geek and i look online for ENTIRE quotes and speeches and check rheotric to record by looking up their voting records.

  • I used to love C-SPAN...before I ditched cable. I was *amazed* by the brazen lies the media would tell in the 5pm news about what had allegedly transpired in the house of Congress mere hours earlier: "Altruistic congressional Democrats looked on in horror as vicious, drooling Republicans wickedly filibustered Hate Crime legislation while raping little girls, killing them, and ultimately sacrificing them to Satan!" The media's version often bore little resemblance to what had actually occurred.

  • yeah. hate crimes are mind policing. as if a husband beating a wife isnt a hate crime? i hate that shit.

  • take a stand. the politics are vastly different.

  • are they VASTLY different or just kind of. bothof them have said when our generals say we can get out we'll get out. both of them are for wealth redistribution. both have tax plans that would put us at least another cool trillion in the fucking hole...both will give into a 70 percent approval for drilling in america by the electorate...how can i take a stand when they keep changing their minds?

  • George Carlin said that!

"inside every cynic is a disappointed idealist" -George Carlin

  • yup, my quiet honor of him.

  • Nice video!

Btw, I get any DVD or game I want for FREE (legally) without using a credit card! Check out the video tutorial in my profile to find out how!

  • i hate games and movies. i am a boring old man.

  • I just got back to this, with a few minutes to actually listen. Good points, but are you suggesting that people use common sense, and engage in actual discourse, about politics? What a crazy idea. BTW I do live in a "red" state .... that always elects liberal governors, and has some of the highest taxes in the US. *scratches head*

  • i am suggesting that, discourse, and an occassional justa11en is gay joke.

  • bastard, take down your sock puppet account fuckgothreaper1

  • what sock puppet account?

  • ur video suks ass

  • and thank your for your insightful critique. typical ron paul fan. no substance, just sheep herding.

  • TV news is a one way source of information, the internet is interactive! TV media doesn't even talk about 'issues' anymore. It's a joke! Most americans trust the propaganda they're fed. I don't!

  • yes but the net is full of lies. the 9/11 truthers and ronbots are good examples of this.

  • there's a lot of un-useful idiots in here,,,,

as always,,, I do agree with must you said.

  • you ain't kidding on that one my friend. tons of useless idiots

  • your mullet is really getting out of hand, darrel

  • also good vlog. finally.

  • you obama worker you.

  • Sadly in the near future you can´t even be a useful idiot. Fight for net-neutrality!

  • no doubt, yet the net is full of misinformation.

  • I am voting for Obama because I think McCain is an asshole. McCain has openly said we will stay in IRaq for another 100 years, no problem. While I do not like Obama's support of Israel and our cuttenly policies regarding Israel, it's better than what McCain will do to this country. That's my plinkety plink. And you're right about news sources. It the "hot topic" is Britney followed by a car bomb, time to change news sources.

  • first of all ,that not what maccain said. as for being an asshole, all politicians are assholes, otherwise they wouldnt be politicians.

i agree, or turn the fucking TV off all together.

  • No? A reporter said to McCain, "President Bush has talked about staying in Iraq for 50 years." To which McCain repled, "Why not 100? It's fine with me." Or maybe you are pointing out that this is not necessarily an open declaration but a sort of bouncing off of ideas? I have not watched TV in almost a year and I don't miss it a bit.

  • please, go find the rest of the quote, paraphrasing is what media does, not intelligent folks, you can paraphrase anyone to get it to say what you want it to...too bad you ignored 3/4 of the quote...lol

  • Quoting Carlin... nice touch. Although he said it a little different... "Inside every cynic is a dissapointed idealist."

I don't think Obama is "accomplished" as you say and his policies on energy are bound to increase gas prices and our taxes, which I don't care for.

  • i know. the spirit of the quote was there.

  • When I consider who I vote for for President, I try to always review the power/position/role/JOB DESCRIPTION again, and am reminded that basically all they have is the power to veto. it is not like they are making policy or anything. It is all about the House and the Senate. It always makes me laugh at how much blame the President gets for everything.

  • the budget is huge policy the president has. the buracracies in his domain of governing is huge, military, treasury, law enforcement, court appointments, prosecuting power, energy initiatives...etc etc, but i agree the pressident gets a otno of blame when thing go bad, they also get all the credit, when it goes well.

  • energy policy moving forward is key for me. we have gotten involved in the middle east mainly to assure oil supply and price.

we need to get out of that trap.

mccain is taking the early lead with sound bite gimmicks (effective) and I hope obama catches up on this issue

at least mccain has stomped on corn ethanol which is a real bad alternative

I support obama because i really think we need a clear change in thinking in the white house. I respect what mccain was before the elections

    peace

  • you are at the same crossroads i am. they rank even for VERY different reasons for me.

  • On war. I believe mccain is hugely more likely to extend the iraq war and maybe even engage Iran.

It will be hard to disengage from iraq for either person.

I am tired of the US applying it's power in order to try to assure oil supplies. I believe obama is less likely to do this and more likely to engage the middle east in diplomacy and get real investment hapening for alternative fuels.

    peace.

  • engage iran? have you seen the EU stance on Iran? i agree, iraq will need cleaning up regardless of who is in charge. it simply is more complicated than oil supplies. its a geopolitical quagmire that goes deep and its history runs millenia. tell me one time diplomacy has worked in the middle east. never.

  • arafat had a reasonable chance for peace and a palestinian state but he refused to give up his power based on fighting israel.

    the civil war in lebanon.

    libya.

constant give and take between US and saudi's is diplomacy as well. They usually win that releationship.

It has always happened. your right that it is hard to get agreements and have them stick long term.

Now that a middle east war could include nuclear options it is imperitive that diplomacy avoid all out war.

    peace.

  • arafat started as a socialist and lost his bearings when he invoked islam. i dont think he was the devil he is portrayed to be, that being said, the diplomacy has never worke,d essentially, the civil war in lebanon has never ended and israel is still a mess. i hope siplomacy can avoid that, but dipomacy is only effective when the barrel of a gun is at the other end susually. humans are so simple, no?

  • mutually assured destruction worked for several decades and the US and USSR never actually used them.

iran and israel are mini version of this although they can probabalyt mutually assure each other of destruction.

So the barral of a gun exists. We have the most and biggest guns.

So we should talk and discuss about carrots and sticks.

the palestinian issue with israel is like an open sore that needs to be healed. the arab worls tried to destroy israeal and lost. Iran evens the field.

    peace.

  • the eight year war is proof there is nothing cold about that conflict, history shows us that as well...

  • We need change! Obama all the way! Unfortunately we only ever get to choose from Dem or Rep...but hey...this country needs a big change and our only choice at the moment is Ombama.

  • I meant Obama...

  • got some reasons why for me, policy wise? im asking folks to tell me why to vote for someone, not to tell me who to vote for.

  • Well, u are a very smart guy and I'm sure that u already know more about both of these guys & their poilcies than I do....but if you want to be in a war for 100 more years (as good old John M has said he would if thats what it took) and if u want "to not get your taxes raised" then vote Mccain. But if u want (hopefully) a change in healthcare, the war and especially with the attitude of the WhiteHouse in general, then I would vote Obama.

Unfortunately those are the 2choices we are stuck with.

  • that is not what mccain said. please listen to the entire conversation he had. he never said we'd be at war for 100 years. its just silliness to say he did. change in healthcare is a fantasy, hillary knows this, she worked hard and realized, it would bankrupt us. the war is out of both of their hands now, the iraqi's will decide when we leave. we made the mess.

  • he reffered to the fact that if it took 100 years that he would be there 100 years.

I agree we did make the mess over there, but what we need now is hope and change and not another money hungry, fill their pockets thru the war person. You are right about healthcare as well, but don't you agree that change is needed regardless? Its going to be one of two men elected, and regardless of who that person is, something drastic needs to be done in this country.

  • that is not what he said at all. please again, listen to the whole quote and how he explains it. we are still in germany, japan, suth korea. etc. that is what he said. stating he said we'd be warring for 100 years is a lie and misrepresents things. this is one of my main issues with obama, he lies when he gives speeches to make points. is obama change? i see no change in wealth distribution and protectionism, its OLD TIRED ineffective policy.

  • ok..you win.

I was not trying to debate you.

ALL politicians lie, it's in their genes and unfortunately every time there is a presidential election its always us Americans having to choose between the lesser of 2 evils...and I happen to think that Obama is the lesser of the two men we have to make a choice on. I actually thought Hillary was the lesser of three evils, but that's obviously not gonna happen.

  • yeah i agree. this is why i am perplexed, i thought these guys were different and its the same tired old rheotric, nothing new. lesser of two evils is relative. certainly leaving power vacuums for iran and china to fill isnt a smart thing either. if hillary wants to put her husbands accomplishments as her own, she needs to switch parties.

  • I don't know who to vote for. It's not like politicians tell the truth, so how do we know whether or not either candidate is being honest about their intentions? I hope it becomes clearer during their debates.

  • im thinking about letting all my non american subscribers do an election on my channel and i will vote for them as a block, representing the world. cause im not wholly enthused with either, presently.

  • That's a good idea. Let me know how it turns out. I don't really have any faith in either right now myself.

  • what religion do you reverandize to?

  • I do not subscribe to any religion specifically. There are parts of many religions that I believe have good merit and value to the masses, but after all the studies I have done in organized religion and such, I have found that they all talk(or argue) about the same thing: "My God is better then yours." Most religions claim that their creed is the truth, but I think it's all bullshit, mostly because I believe that truth is relative. I am unlike any Minister you have ever known.

  • i am areligious, just wonderin if the Rev part was for fun is all. be well.

  • What is areligious? Also, to clarify, I attended and graduated from Seminary, so I have been ordained.

  • You attended and graduated from seminary, but you do not subscribe to any religion specifically?

    How does THAT work then?

  • i am not religious. what kind of seminary?

  • I will vote for Obama because his opinion matches mine on more issues. Because he taught constitutional law and our constitution has taken a beating recently. Because I believe what he has to say more than I do McCain. Because he gives me more hope for the future. Great topic!!!!!!!!!

  • you went to law school at University of Chitown?

  • Nope, but that would have been nice. I believe we need someone who respects that wonderful document and wants to preserve it.

  • guess it depends on whatyou mean, obama was all for gun bans. not so constitutional.

  • I'm voting for Obama because he's the best man for the job. Voting for McCain would simply extend the policies of Bush. He is a honorable man, but he would without a doubt extend this unnecessary war leading to further damage our reputation worldwide.

And NO I am not voting for him because he's black. Blacks have run for president before and I didn't support them because I felt they weren't right for the job (or I was too young to vote).

  • i've known you long enough to know you don't make decisions without thought. i wish more folks were like you leon.

  • People should vote for their man not out of hero worship but because they really have studied the issues, understand what is at stake and really believe their politician is the best man for the job.

  • agreed. great comment.

  • "The Capitalists will sell us the rope with which we will hang them."

Lenin had some interesting observations about us.

Bill Clinton a Republican? That's a bit of a stretch... I'll disagree with you there.

  • too bad lenin, and the marxist revolution is dead, both buried in russia.

clinton was newt's president. he had some lefty leanings, and he wasn't a neocon, but for the most part, policy remained intact.

  • My take on Clinton is that at heart he was a liberal. However, he wasn't so much a man who would stick to his lefty convictions, as a man who craved popularity. I recall writing down the figures comparing how much Clinton & Bush Sr. spent on public opinion poles during the '92 election. Wish I still had that data; it was very telling! Clinton outspent Bush many times over. As President, Clinton would wake up in the morning, wet his finger & stick it in the air to test in which direction the...

  • (cont'd) wind of public opinion was blowing that day. Not entirely a bad thing, actually. I suspect that's how he ended up actually working with conservatives on welfare reforms, for example.

  • clinton ruled by polls, maerican for the most part of idiots, he's runnig a country not a popularity contest...

  • Clinton also raped us (Jimmy Carter-style) with a slew of last-minute executive orders, about 30,000 pages worth, breaking Carter's record of about 24,500 pages which had stood for 20 years. What was up with all that "federal zoning," "sustainable development," and "biosphere reserves" stuff, anyway? Exactly *why* does the UN need so much US land? [puts scratchy 1966 Barry McGuire "Eve Of Destruction" single on record player]

  • my favorite was Al Gore keeping mum about Kyoto Accords the ENTIRE time he was VP, but when it was time tocash in on the idea, he did so. What a liar. The US wanted the UN here so it could bug every last one of them, but it backfired because of the false intelligence that went through those channels. Clinton also pardoned billionaire supporters of his. No difference between him and the rest, I agree. Carter was just aimless and unorganized in his foreign policy.

  • [on Gore & Kyoto] Well you have simply failed to understand what's *important*, my batty friend! It's much more important to CLAIM that you care about the environment, and then use 1200-1500 gallons of fuel flying cross-country in your private jet in order to scold/lecture to the rest of us, the lowly masses, about how important it is (for *us*) to drive less, use less air-conditioning, and less water as we brush our teeth! Lol!

  • you crack me up.

  • As many know by now, Gore is just another mouth piece. He was challenged not go to Oslo to accept his prize - show the world he was serious about global warming - not unnecessarily use a jet and instead accept his prize via live video while in the US. That was an excellent challenge, too bad he failed it. Just another liar; do as I say and not as I do.

  • typical, no?

  • Unforunately, si.

That was his shining moment to show us all he means what he says, to hush his critics, etc. All he had to do was accept that prize via live video...and I find myself a wee bit surprised he failed that challenge. It was so simple. I was hoping someone out there in DC would just ONCE back their shit up.

  • and kenrg has a cat. hmmm. now that's a debate. wonder how his cat is? off topic much? right now i would vote for either cause I havn't heard anything aboot a carbon tax. remember when bush got back in and people were ready to move to Canada, get ready for an bunch of canucks jumping borders come fall.

  • freddy mercury has a cat. freddy mercury was gay, therefore kenrrrrg is gay? i dont know, we may be onto something....

  • In my opinion, I feel somewhat disappointed with these two people. I can't be specific, it's just a gut feeling. Something is missing. I just can't put my finger on it.

  • me too. there is something, well, to me incomplete about both of them.

  • It has come to the point of voting for the lesser of two evils. Or actually, it has come to the point of not wasting your vote on either of these two men that are running. Difference face, same shit in my opinion.

And omg this entire video you have a little piece of your beard pointing out and it made me stare at it and daze out a few times haha. Had to rewind a few points to hear what you said.

Impression of Obama; playing on the heart strings of Americans

    Impression of McCain; warhawk

  • i noticed it and just didnt feel like doing another take.

  • Wow, dude! Cool opening graphic!!

For the record, I get MY news from The Nation, The Progressive, Z Magazine, CounterPunch....

    And Noam Fucking Chomsky. ;-)

  • glad you see a balanced view of the world. (eyes roll) when you walk do you lean all the way to the left. maybe mix it up a bit.

  • Hmmm...well I'm against gun control and don't have a knee-jerk dislike of all things Southern. How's that? And remember not to roll your eyes too hard or they'll stay that way. ;-)

  • attaboy. gun control freaks are illogical, illegal guns kill folks. i love carolina bar-b-que. my mom used to tell me things like that about eye rolling...

  • You said that this is your sixth time voting...If you have found six people in your lifetime worthy of your vote, I would argue that your the Idiot!

  • who said i voted on party lines? and when did i ever say anyone was "worthy" first of all to be worthy, one must have worth. worth is relative, for the most part.

  • If a man does not follow the Bible as it is told, I do not consider him to be a Christian.

  • ok, but that goes for both of them. that being said, the bible plays no part in my electoral decisions, in fact, it plays no part in any decision i make.

  • We have not had an honest election since you have been alive. Our presidents are given to us from hidden puppet masters.

Forget everything you know and turn off the t.v. and think for yourself. You know nothing as of yet!

  • so are you a club of rome person or an illuminati person? (wink)

  • But seriously...

"An Israeli border policeman prompted scenes of panic at a Tel Aviv airport this afternoon by [presumably] committing suicide at a farewell ceremony for President Nicolas Sarkozy of France.... the man's body fell from a high vantage point and a shot rang out. ...Reports suggest the policeman shot himself in the head."

Did any of the Useful Idiots consider the possibility that this might have been a suicide attempt?

  • isn't that what it said? i think it said suicide.

  • Oops! Yes, it did say suicide. *I* didn't mean to say suicide. I must have lost my train of thought for a moment. (That's okay. The cars on the train were empty anyway.)

I meant this: did any of the Useful Idiots consider the possibility that this might have been an ASSASSINATION ATTEMPT? Very odd time and place for a police officer to suddenly commit "suicide."

  • should be interesting to find out. glad sarkosy got out of there alive.

  • I get my news from South Park episodes. Thank God Al Gore is saving the world from ManBearPig!

  • hes THUPER THERIAL about it too lol

  • Hahahaha!

  • manbearpig lives in my basement, he eats a lot and smells like grecian formula.

  • LOL!

Oh no! Al Gore will become incensed if he learns that ManBearPig is still alive! (I don't think Mr. Gore has any friends.) EXCELSIOR!

  • im sorry, i was describing al gore...he eats a lot and reeks of grecian formula. manbearpig is well behaved.

  • Ohhh...okay. That makes more sense! It's apparent that Al Gore eats a lot, and I can well imagine his reeking of grecian formula—either from putting it on his hair, or from DRINKING it, having erroneously assumed that it was meant to be taken internally—but I seem to recall that ManBearPig leaves a salmon-like odor.

It sounds as though Mr. Gore has been going around exaggerating the (unproven) dangers of global ManBearPig all these many years mostly to gratify his need for attention!

  • maybe al gore is manbearpig!
