Don Ho once said that most people remember him mostly from his tv appearances on Jeannie and on the Brady Bunch. If it weren't for those 2 appearances i probably wouldn't have heard of him. He also was on an episode of Charlie's angels as well.
Dido what knight said. And i mean word for word.If i can make one suggestion knight try, IF I HAD TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN.I think you will like it. Fine job bay.
Thank you for posting. I really miss hearing Ku`i Lee's music (and hearing Don Ho sing it is a definite plus). Two of his best songs were, 'Days of My Youth', and 'I'll Remember You'. It's cool to think that he, Don Ho, and Iz are all jamming on the other side. :)
I am lucky to have seen Don Ho perform in Oahu before he passed away. This is his most beautiful, peaceful, serene song. Makes me wanna be in Hawaii!!!
"I played in the sun; the joy deep within... I had laughter as a toy and and the sweets on my tooth, in the beautiful days of my youth."
"The fears that I learned, way back then, I didn't know."
"Now the child that I face, how familiar he seems. He's wearing my eyes and he's living my dreams."
I came to look for The Windward Side, which is one of my favorites, and ended up finding this one as well! I remember Don's show--even though I was still young at the time, and was happily buying his albums along with rock and other pop favorites.
Wow!!! Love this video!!! Don Ho and I Dream of Jeannie, what more could you ask for!!! Hauntingly beautiful, touchingly wistful song about the sweet innocence of childhood and days gone by!
Like so many other people I remember this song from when I was a child and I always loved this episode of Jeannie, one of my favorites. This song is so beautiful
Wow I have been looking for this song and the clip from I dream of jeannie that Don Ho sang this from. I watched this when I was a kid and the song stayed with me ever since. I just love the feeling on family and how we all live through our children and through their eyes. I'm not a big Don Ho fan but this song and the song "I remember you" are my favorites. Thank you so much for putting this on you tube and for a few moments reliving a sweet special time in a boy's life.
Yes, that is Dwight. Don and his family were our next door neighbor on Kaneohe Bay Drive when this video was done. And, those are the original Alii's playing with him at Duke Kahanamoku's. What an era. I still listen to his "Don Ho Live" album.
What an honor to have them as neighbors. I just returned from Hawaii on March 9. I was in Waikiki for a week. It was very hard to see the sign down at the Beachcomber and not having
Don there to go and see. He always remembered my husband and I. Now, it is Jimmy Buffets. I went up there and they do have a small picture of Don by the stage. It was hard to look at. I still had fun, because Don would have wanted it that way. Thank you for the information. Aloha.
Is that gorgeous little boy, Dwight Ho, Donald's son from his first set of six children? Donald had a total of `10 children and now he has 9 children. I have never seen this film before. It is wonderful. That is just how he was until the end with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. May Donald rest in peace. We miss you. Aloha.

Don Ho once said when he meets people they remember him primarily from the episodes on ''I DREAM OF JEANNIE'' and
''THE BRADY BUNCH'' when the Bradys went to Hawaii, rather than his music.
