Yes, I have looked at the link, and can only envy you lol. In the sand hills, of NC, we don't have anything like this. I wish we did, so I could possibly get into the hobby, also if I could afford it.
@Enginer12 Thanks for the compliment. It is a great engine to drive.
I was running with a light load on that trip so I left the valve gear on full cutoff and used the throttle only.
The grade is 1 in 40 from the small wooden trestle up to the top of the hill just before I stopped. There is an up grade from the junction as well but that is around 1 in 50 Total climb is about 7 meters (23 feet) as an estimate we have not measured it accuratly yet.
Scale is 2.5 inch to the foot. Prototype locomotive was Sandy River and Rangley Lakes no 24 a baldwin built in May 1919 The model weighs around 490 kilos in full working order. Tender and loco with me sitting driving it.
@AndrewandMattsVideos Hey it is a lot of fun. can be a lot of work too. Steam locos get dirty and I spent a while cleaning it....You have to know what you are doing though to drive one. Especially a big engine like this.
@AndrewandMattsVideos You will be surprised at how many tracks there are around the world. What scale / gauge do you model in? I have HOn3, HO and O
Try to check on the internet or ask at the local library or council office. Did you look at the Winter Creek web site? I put the wrong link info up but have corrected it now.

Lovely little locomotive. When running your engine, do you adjust the cutoff, or do you keep it constant?
