also you can go to command prompt with the big black window and type in ipconfig np spaces and it will say all these dif ip addresses just look for default gateway and thats ur ip address

@halofan38 i found out what it was. i was downloading movies online while my xbox was on so it turned in to strict. just has to turn on everything for 30 secs then go on xbox then test connection and it went back to open. so basicily dont download anything when the xbox is online!

@mikal4580 well because your using your xbox's ip, if u reset the router or disconnect and reconnect the xbox back to your router the xbox ip could change, which makes the port useless. you need to check ur xbox's ip(im sure u have) and keep changing port to it.

@EssenceGaming Glad it helped, but im gonna warn you. Sometimes your Xbox will change it's IP so you have to change it in Linksys settings again. Best to give your xbox a manual IP so it never changes. Do this IP through Manual settings on your Xbox. IP: 192.168.1.141 Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.1 and Gateway: 192.168.1.1. Do this so you dont have to keep changing you Linksys Port Forwarding settings.

OK if u dont know what ip to type do this. Command Prompt>type in ipconfig> look for Default Gateway> with that type that in ur default browser> DEFAULT PASSWORD AND USER IS Admin password admin

hmmm 88 and 3074.. ur missing 53 by the way. its what xbox live uses as well. and i believe they also use 80 but i think thats only for the UDP part. but generally speaking you have 88 and 3074 correct ur missing one but hey man if ur live isnt disconnecting like mine is all the time than just leave it alone haha nice video man i forgot how to access my router like that ha *experience: countless hours of being on the line for the technical support and research

thank you so much i finally found a video that works. i think so at least. i know for a fact that im not getting the poor connection pop up in halo 3, gow2, and crackdown...(my friends were bored on day and when i hosted a game for fun it wouldnt let me host cause of my connection but now im able to :D). Note: on my router page i had single port forward and port range forward. make sure to select port range forward. oh and make sure that upnp or whatever is enabled under administration

there's so many ways to change NAT to open i'm not sure which videos to choose from. In one video i tried, then played halo3 and it said warning NAT type not open, n in codmw2 it said moderate. i've done the exact same thing in the video step by step but my NAT still says Moderate on mw2...

i checked my xbox's ip in system setting/network configuration and it said 192.168.1.101 so i typed the "101" instead of "1" but either way it still says Moderate....

Instead of doing this, just the bridge the connections. I connect my xbox through my laptop and when i bridged the connections it opened up my NAT.

Highlight your wireless connection and the LAN connection then hit Bridge.

This video shows the correct way to obtain an open NAT, I have done it myself, and has worked for my. To go to 192.168.1.1, you need to connect an ethernet cable to your PC, it can't be done by wireless. So try that, and thank you dude, you make my LIVE experience a little bit better 5/5!!

@xAiiRZzX I know a lot of people get that. It's "normal" for that router. Try to restart your router and do it again..also make sure that you are typing in YOUR gateway..It's not always...25.1..Just type "ipconfig" in the command prompt, and it will show you your default gateway..I kinda doubt this works anyways..I can't find anything that works.

No, it's not an issue. It's because he set the start and end ports to 3074 for UDP and TCP, TWICE, which is the duplicate. You can solve the problem by taking one out.
