  • Ms RebeccaESL,When I got to Engvid forumn, the past perfect had already failed. He had learned English before he came to USA forumn of Engvid. She had been sick in pluperfect tense when she taught the said tense!USA had often seemed lost before she seen. Why US had often missed the pluperfect tense before she taugh? Juni369 asked before he had visited the forum.

  • Dear Ms RebeccaESL,Re passive voice from active voice,He loved his mother=His mother was loved by him. He will love his mother.=His mother will be loved by him. He has loved his mother=His mother has been loved by him. But US can't distinguish past perfect tense=He had come to Russia before he came to Urkraine.=He had been coming to Russia before he had come(not came) to Urkraine which means past perfect never found=He had been sick for USA tense when he left Russia which means Rebecca no

    Thanks!

  • Great help Rebecca.

    God bless you.

  • Wow, thanks so much. Same to you.

  • ms rebecaa..

    is this correct or not..?

    here's mah sentence

.many people had been told me that i am a good listener and adviser..

  • You mean to say,

    Here's my sentence.

Your sample sentence is fine, except that the first letter of the first word should begin with a capital letter, M.

You can also spell the last word as "advisor".

  • hahhaha yaa its nt, i enjoy it very much ,you know how to give information ,thank you

  • Thanks. Glad i could help.

  • is it GRAMMAR or GPAMMAR,

I cant really tell, by watching the white board in the video.

  • its grammar

  • Sorry, the marker wasn't very clear and the light reflected in such a way that it seemed like a P instead of an R!

    The correct spelling is GRAMMAR.

  • Thanks for the loading your videos,

its so helpfull , i downloaded your vidoes,

and i'm also prparing for IELTS Test.

    Thanks Alot

    Have a Happy Life

  • Wish you a lot of happiness too. And good luck with your IELTS!

  • Thanks!!! Your wonderful!!!

  • Thanks. Actually, we need to say

"You're wonderful", as in, "You are wonderful."

Mistakes always teach us. Keep at it and you'll get it.

  • when we're doing something

which one shoud we said .. ?

" this is so exciting!" " this is so excited!"

  • You should say,

"This is so exciting. " because you're describing something.

    Or else you can say,

"I am so excited by this.", which describes your feelings about something.

  • is it correct ,

I have had dinner when my friend invited me out

  • No. actually, you needed to say,

I had dinner when my friend invited me out.

You need to use the simple past tense because you used the word 'when', which refers to a specific time in the past.

When you use present perfect, you cannot refer to a finished time in the past.

You can only use it to refer to unfinished times , such as:

    I have seen that movie.

This means you have done this at some time in your life, which has still not ended.

    Hope this helps.

  • Hi rebecca Good day!

pls help me about his topic

actually i understood.. my question are these I feel bored bcoz the movie is boring.

I am interested bcoz the play was intrested.

I felt frustrated bcoz the exam was frastrating.

do i use I was interested instead I am interested. and I feel frustrated insted I felt frustrated. pls help me about this

  • Thank you very much this help me a lot

  • Since this is a common error made by many ESL students, I'm glad I could help clarify the issue.

  • thank you...

  • I am no longer confused since your vid was not confusing.

    :=)

all the best 2 u all

  • Snowblanco, that was a really smart comment. Glad you got the point.

  • Thank you very much. You are very profesional teacher.

  • These are good lessons! (For people who don't know english very well, because most people who have gone through elementary school would know/remember this) You remind me of my grade 3 teacher :)

  • i cant see the word can you pls hlep me with it cuz i want to learn eng

  • Very Good Teaching. I wish i had a school teacher in my childhood like you. I should have be a grt8 professor. God Bless You Mam. Please post more vedios on grammer lesons. Could you kindly explain when to use HAVE and HAD. Some times we also use HAD HAD. I am patiently waiting. Thank you Mam.

  • Jesseybenzey, the word had is the past tense of the verb have.

    For ex:

This year, I have many friends in school.

Last year, I had just a few friends.

The verb have is also used in the perfect tenses, like this:

    I have seen that movie.

    I have been to Europe.

I had (already) had dinner when my friend invited me out.

Have is an important irregular verb so do pay special attention to mastering it.

  • thank you Rebecca
