@OrangeZebraTree See I always think that; when I was younger I was pretty naive and always thought you had to be surrounded by people to have friends- i was quite lonely in my childhood- then I met my best friend ten years ago; i have other mates who i consider friends but she is my number one friend and over the years I have come to realise its not how many friends you have but how many true and loyal friends you have- less is more as they say! :)

I think we all have more friends than we think.

I'd say that I only have 1 real proper friend, but if you were with a group of people that you didn't particularly like and you were suddenly thrust into a life threatening situation, you'd likely all become bonded friends.

It happens alot in life or death survival situations.

Unfortunately we live in a society where you don't 'need' anyone, so sadly, people just don't care about each other.
