  • i don't listen to covers much, but i enjoyed this a great deal.. i've hit repeat button several times :) God bless the ones, bless their hearts, who "think" they can sing..

  • my favorite song. period.. and will be my outro to this world, amen.

  • what a great job on this. you make me beleive that you had some rough stretches in your life. Great.

  • @headredbone Thank you for the nice comment my friend. Just like everyone else I'm sure, I've had my share. Thanks again. wd

  • I keep coming back to this one time and time again. One of my all time favorites. Would love to see a live version on video of this if you have one to share. Keep up the good work, would also enjoy seeing and listening to other song you may have

  • @kcarroll64 Thank you for stopping by and visiting, I'm sorry I don't have a live version to share but I do have a lot of other songs on my channel. Thanks again and take care. wd

  • Very well done!! I grew up listening to Hank Sr., and I can't find an original version of theis song by Hank up here. This is by far the best version/cover I have heard, love the voice and the lyrics are easily understood. Again, I must say well done!! Old Hank would be proud.

  • @kcarroll64 Thank you so much for the nice comment, I really appreciate it my friend. wd

  • I looked for this song because of the Kris Kristofferson movie Bloodworth. I second styrbjornful opinion of this heartfelt song. I think it should be the Theme song for the revolution against the NWO. Rally together Christians. All that is needed for evil to triumph over good is for good people to do nothing. Don't wait to long like the holocaust victims did. it'll be too late when the NWO armys at our doors.

  • @wakeupsheepleNWOREAL I agree my friend. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment, I appreciate it very much. wd

  • @wakeupsheepleNWOREAL AINT THAT THE TRUTH,WAKE UP AMERICA!

  • @4evermommasgirl I'm afraid that the entertainment industry, sports, alchohol, music videos, drugs, vaccines, GMO foods, prescription pill use, energy drinks/soda and the flouridated public drinking supplies are dumbing down the population at to great a speed to halt Americas depraved decadent downfall. Most people are just useless eaters. 95% of the population is simply inert. They never move. 1% are Saints. 1% are simply Assholes. 3% are people who do what they say they can do. ;~) Gods love2u

  • yayyyy finally someone who does this song justice... I grew up listening to the old bluegrass my mother loved this song she would sing it alot and she played Hank sr. religiously. This is the only version I have found on Youtube that has not been totally mangled... This is not a hard song to sing... The rest I have heard has been so totally botched I would be ashamed to to post it. Your not as great as Hank but you are close... then again I don't think anyone will every be as great as he was....

  • @excaderesdesire Thank you very much for your nice comment, I appreciate it. There is only one Hank and no one will ever replace him. Take care, wd

  • hank williams sang right to the hearts of common people, and though he died sixty years ago, like a great poet it still speaks to us with the same power and haunting truth as it did when new.

  • @styrbjornful That he did my friend, I appreciate the visit and the comment. wd

  • i am 15 and i love these songs screw the rap i love country bluegrass gospel i may be young but i love listening to hank williams merle haggard johnny cash etc. like if you agree

  • @chamionwalburn There are a lot of young people who would love the older music if they could only hear it, but they don't play it anymore so they will never know how good it is. It's always great to hear from a young person like yourself who appreciates real music. Thank you for the comment my friend. wd
