It's simple. Every country has flaws. America's flaw is that the procurement industry is horribly corrupt. This design would have put all the other helicopter manufacturing businesses out of business. Hence.... it wasn't built, nor was it's designer inclined to continue in the business.
This helicopter has the most technology in a helicopter in the world, even more components then the AH-64D Apache and can hold as many as 25 fully equipped troops
i ment more components then Ah-64 and that the apache has a big navi suite and merlins is alot bigger and better, it definitely wont have massive armament as its mainly a utility/cargo helicopter
The MH-53 Pavelow could hold up to 37 troops, or if specially fitted, up to 55 troops. It aslo had the ability to fly completely unditected right above the ground, to insert spec-ops any where needed. Sadly the Pavelow was retired from service in september 2008.
well i know that helicopter is huge, American helicopters are always big. but im comparing it to the lynx, its not very big but yet it does its job very well, think thats why we're getting the super lynx. but we need a big lifter simular to that of the CH-52 and CH-53. the avionics suite is 1 of if not the best in the world, pilots that have flown the apache and now fly the merlin say its better then the apache.
