@arthur7680 You are right. Lost levels was SMB 2 which they released in Asia but found it was too hard for the American market so they put Mario sprites on another game Doki Doki Panic and called it SMB 2. Lost levels is the 'real' SMB 2 and it is quite hard!

you missed out on getting 5 more lives just from the end level cards. You can guarantee a star every time if your power bar has just reached full when you jump to hit it (and dont miss). There, that's my two cents for what it's worth lol. Seriously how long have I been playing mario games and didn't know jumping on bad guys could get your 1ups like that? :)

Its actually a little easier to do the trick with the skeleton turtles in the first castle of world 2.

The sad thing is I know every trick in this game including this one. You showed me a couple different places to do it though. And actually to be honest I never realized that if you waited long enough you could keep it going on the turtles, but it makes total sense.

Did you know that if you beat level 2 in a certain amount of time (i think it's times ending in the number "2") a special mushroom house appears, with I think a suit of some kind, hammer brother suit maybe.

@SpecialFester That's not what makes it appear.. Every world has a single level that has a coin requirement. If you get the certain number of coins, the house will appear. In the odd number worlds, it is a p balloon. In the even number worlds, it is a anchor which makes the boat unable to move if you fail when killing the boss.

That's cool. I never thought about using that trick to get free guys. I usualy get up to 99 guys by the end of World 7. If I don't get 99 by the time I get to the world 7 castle, I take advantage of the unlimited coins to get the rest.
