@rimare123 Mine was a floor model but came with the full warranty. It's the flat top model, Made in USA. It's solid black with the floyd. I paid $625.

I had the neck finished with Birchwood Casey's gunstock oil. Very nice.

I wouldn't have known about the Peavey Vypyr 30 without this. Amazing little affordable amp with stompboxes built in. Pretty cool, watching the "Peavey Vypyr 30 guitar amp video review, demo" vid now and it speaks for itself.

Hey Matt, I have the flat top version of this guitar & yes this is hands down, the best guitar I have owned. The versatility & tone of this guitar blows away the wolfgang. Mine is setup to float & I find it stays in tune better than any other floating bridge that I've used.

P.S. I just downloaded your music off of itunes, amazing stuff, looking forward to some new tunes soon.

the playability of this guitar is amazing and it sounds great, and the amp offers a lot of different high gain sounds - check it out, but it will do a good job, i´m shure... best regards Matt

Hi! How does it compare to the Wolfgang Special and Standard?

it´s the guitar formerly known as... ! very similar - no D-tuner but a tone-pot. i own a Wolfgang Special (see it in Vypyr Experience VIII), and besides the Wolfgang Specials flat top these guitars feel almost the same...

It sounds very produced, is this the CD were hear or are playing live with a lot of effects?

playing is live - effects? preamp distortion and a slight delay, that´s all (find the exact amp setting below!) - i spent some time to find the speakers sweet spot with the microphone, but this is no fake... regards from germany

Hi again Matt and thanks for the info on the trem. Sounds like if you lock it down...the sustain and tone is better! Also, how is the quality? I am hearing it is not as good as the Wolfgangs nor a Ernie Ball Axis. Are the fretboard ends rolled smooth?

this is the best Floyd Rose guitar i´ve got - excellent qualitiy, playability and sound. i´ve never compared it with an axis or EVH, but i´m shure this guitar doesn´t have to hide... btw fretjob is fantastic. best regards from germany

Great playing! How is the sustain on the HP? I would think the hardtail would kill for sustain. I hear mixed things. I know a guy who installed a brass sutainer behind the bridge to fatten it up.

there is an adjustable tremolo stop bar in the spring cavity - i don´t use the FL as a free floating system (just down) and so it´s not the sustain (and tone-) killer it uses to be. of course the hardtail has got more sustain, but it´s exellent on this guitar as well... best regards Matt

Two things - Its now APRIL and we need another axe and some more of your playing to feed our souls!! And on the Peavey amp hpw do you know the delay length ie 500ms.

You need to post your setting on all these videos, its inpiring to see someone get great tones out of this little beauty.

First: April has just begun - next axe is already waiting... Setting is: Stompbox off, Amp JSX red, Effects off, Pregain 6, Low 4 1/2, Mid 3 1/2, High 4 1/2, Delay Feedback 1 1/2, Delay Level 2 1/4, Reverb 3 1/4... the Delay time is approximately 500ms - hit the tap tempo button two times a second, that´s it. Most of the times I use that kind of delay for singing leads... thanks my friend! Matt
