I don't understand why we try to feed hungry african villages. VILLAGES ARE OBSOLETE IN MODERN DAY! THEY CAN'T SURVIVE! Invest in African cities, entrepreneurship will improve the economy, and people will no longer be hungry! All you are doing by donating to villages, though, is encouraging overpopulation, and making these villages dependent on foreign charity and pity. Chances are, the person being fed in the village will die regardless, URBANIZE the countries! They need to progress!
Might sound harsh but they're creating a hypothetical cycle of misery, and expecting people to support life in an area where nature has deemed unacceptable for life. If you can't live comfortably in a certain place, go find a place that you CAN live comfortably - And if you can't do that, don't reproduce and thus drag more and more hypothetical people into the cycle of misery that you have created.
Who is truly responsible here, the people outside of the equation, or the people reproducing?

Africa is full of resources, diamonds, gold, oil, what have you, but they just aren't urbanizing. What they really need is political reform. Most of Africa is industrialised, that's where a lot of the problems are coming from (before they were semi-nomadic and when drought hit they just moved but now they are in permanent locations so they have to suffer through the drought). Look at Ethiopia, hit by a 60-year long drought, how do you hunt or farm when nothing can survive?

@tintsap A problem there (and bear in mind im not a certified economist). in order to have one world currency, there would need to be a regulating force behind that now close-knit world economy. That would essentially be a world government, something that will not be seen in quite a while. The U.N. has some say in world politics and its own military force, but in the end its just a bunch of countries all together, trying to get their own benefit out of it. a world currency just isnt plausible

@tintsap America is not hurting that bad. Americans just aren't used to hardship. There are places in the world that would LOVE to be as well off as America. In some places, people have to walk 8 miles just to get the day's water. I'm sure they would absolutely love to have the amenities that you take for granted every single day. The sky isn't falling and the world will not come crashing down around us... not yet at least... LOL!

Most people believe that the WTO and tax credits keep Africans from taking government and economic ranks and no one in the WTO ever really seems to care that Africa could be a possible area of investment. It might be some sort of cultural repression of africans. So WE are sold the line that we wouldnt want to invest over there because we might hurt their feelings -thats the deception

@epicduck123 And the US dollar is becoming powerless because poor countries, are now classified as developing world, which means that they are getting richer, even in Africa people are getting better living conditions than they used to have, Ok so when everyone becomes rich, with fewer poor people, e.g. people are getting educated all over the wolrd, catching up with america because America is extremely advanced. So one currency is gonna be the one solution that suits everyone.

@tintsap A problem there (and bear in mind im not a certified economist). in order to have one world currency, there would need to be a regulating force behind that now close-knit world economy. That would essentially be a world government, something that will not be seen in quite a while. The U.N. has some say in world politics and its own military force, but in the end its just a bunch of countries all together, trying to get their own benefit out of it. a world currency just isnt plausible
