  • That's a beautiful engine bro I can see that this car is packin alot of hp

  • @5spd5thgen there might be honda motors out there with more power but they have no torque because of the 2.whatever displacement, run them from a dig and the honda would get smoked, all that powers no good if you can't put it to the ground

  • whats up with all the noise... bottom end rattle? piston slap?

  • this car sounds like a sleeper waiting to happen

  • I hate it when the IRS argument comes up when people talk about Mustangs, give it a fucking rest. The Boss 302 pulled 1.02gs (Road and Track March 2011) with a solid rear axle. That matches what the F458 pulled - what now?

  • would never loose interest in a terminator for a heavier, needs 100 more HP to match the Terminator, GT500

  • Acted like it didnt want to run too well, was something knocking or tapping ?! Would've been nice to see the rest of the car :)

  • @3000gtvr4, no disrespect, but there are completely stock irs cobras going high 9 low 10's. Down to the stock half shafts. Also, what are you considering "bolt ons" for the gt? I'm pretty sure unless you are counting a twin turbo kit as a bolt on then you can't gain almost 1000hp from bolt ons, to get a ford gt to 1500hp you need much more than an exhaust, cai, headers, things like that. I'm just sayin.

  • @liljuicedcoupe2007 IRS is great, but its too heavy and its got too many parts, why over complicate things when your intent is a car that handles decently but is made to be lightweight, cost efficient and fast in a straight line, there is a reason that the cobras sold at around 30k new, with a solid axle that price would have been much lower, and bolt ons, in the literal sense, is anything that needs to be bolted to the car F/I is a bolt on, however n20 isnt

  • @liljuicedcoupe2007 NO disrespect, but the question isn't whether you can run it or not. The question is how long you can run it... This is where the IRS falls off completely. it is like people who say bottom ends are rated at 450hp and they run 390 or 400 hp... You can run it, but don't expect it to last longer than a LRA. Also, You can build a cobra... tons of 4.6 DOHC in old sedans and Suvs for the reaping..

  • @25Celtics, you better hurry, they are getting few and far between. Empire motor cars in Dallas tends to have cobras all the time. That's where my chick got her mystic. I wouldn't buy from them though, they told us it was stock and was pretty modded when we got there from 3 hours away....

  • @liljuicedcoupe2007 Yeah, I live about 30 mins away from that place... Something about that place isn't right. how does her cobra still run?

  • its a damn shame you neglected this beauty for 2 years. This is my dream car. i hope to own one some day, hopefully unmodified or slightly, hope its not to hard.

  • yeah, unfortunatly i'm hearing the knock too... Soooo i wouldn't run MUCH boost in there at all. lol

  • Why does it sound like the motor has a knock?

  • @MrKillersvtcobra

That knocking sound is piston slap, which occurs in cold engines when the pistons are made from a hypoeutectic aluminum alloy (like 2618). The reason for this is that hypoeutectic alloys have a greater thermal expansion ratio than iron, so the pistons must have a loose fit in the cylinder when cold in order to fit properly at operating temperature.

  • @flghtmstr1 may be supercharger backlash too..

  • I beleive the Lethal performance setup runs you about 38 or 3900.

  • that is a freaking massive supercharger

  • How much $ to reach this much power?

  • this supercharger has more displacement than two honda engines

  • @kingssuck06 haha so true :)

  • @kingssuck06 haha what 2 honda engines? motorcycles? displacement is irrelevant. what does it have to do with anything. plenty of hondas with more power than this car im sure

  • its sad that ford didnt notice that when they made the cobra they gave the people what they wanted.. an IRS and a supercharger on a V8.. if they did it again they would sell just as many and would be just as feared.. without having to make it all "woooo its a GT500, be excitedddd" *shrugs*

  • @mean71cuda i get more excited when a see a 03 or 04 cobra then a gt500 of any year

  • @paintballer0816 +1 i love termi cobras, so much potential with those cars its insane.

  • @mean71cuda true, but irs can't handle as much hp as a solid axle, and even then ford still makes one of the best solid axles out there in terms of handling. i think ford is being smart, chevy's can't take more than around 700hp before things start to fall apart, and that includes camero's and vettes. the ford gt was good for 1500hp with bolt-ons, and set a land speed record, and the new mustang gt's are so powerful that with bolt-ons they can pull wheelies that break the front irs.

  • @mean71cuda Lol, if you knew anything a lot of cobras were switched with LRA. No one liked them... only people that wanted a V6 mustang wanted IRS. I don't even want IRS now....

  • how can u buy a 2003 car in mid 2002?

  • @Draco1180 how old are you lol cars come out about 9-10ish months before there year. i.e. this 2003 cobra was probably on show room floors in mid july of 02.(thats not actual just an example)

  • @Draco1180 By going to the dealer.

  • @Draco1180 they were first produced in early 2002 for 2003 most car companys do this for what ever reason.

  • wat type of exhaust?

  • so whats the dyno #'s on this bad ass cobra?

  • i'll buy it right now!!!

  • ill take that bad ass built 03 terminator over the way heavier gt 500 anyday

  • Ready
