Akita is not a hard breed to handle. Like any dog, you have to know what you are doing. Check out "Maggie's Crush" video for an example of a gentle American Akita.

I know that - the Akita Inu is more brown /red while the Amercina breed prefer teh black mask, but in Spain they are called "Akita Inu" too.. btw any advice how to keep him from shitting while walking as he started now in his high age of 9 years ? Seems he can't control ore even notice that he looses crap while walking or laying down.. seems he suffers from incontinence [med.]

so I choose here from that litter of 4 puppys, even ther was others with long tails.

She is not meant to breed as she is already nutered.

Hi, the Akita is a difficult dog to handle, stubborn but smart, I can't say wether he would be easier to train if mixed with a german shepheard
