haha, i was just watching a gilmore girls video...and this is what i got linked to. hahahaha, thought it was gunna be Luke from the show. thats pretty awesome
Hysterical! My grey was saying, "I love ooo," without the "y" sound in the word "you." I corrected her many times and it shows. She now says, "I love YOU," with huge stress on the "you"! Jabber is so cute.
Grays as pets: If you want a sweet cuddly bird, get a cockatiel. A gray is smart enough to get out of his cage, observe and comment on everything going on around him -- and talks back! Also, if you leave him alone for a weekend, your gray's likely to pull feathers out. We travel with our parrot, and have never had trouble with accomodations.
All very true, Luke is no exception. He is flighted and knows where I hide everything. Nothing is safe, therefore, everything in the house must be bird safe. Anyone not willing to house a 2 year old child forever should never be owned by any parrot, not just Greys.
I love your bird! Hehehe. I love having these youtube vids of CAGs because I really want one but the time isn't quite right yet. While I wait for things to come together, watching vids of sweeties like Luke really helps.
My grey is 8 months now.he barks like our yorkshire terrier(it's hard to tell the difference)and he keeps yelling HELP ME.We don't know where he picked that up from
I highly recommend a cockatiel as a great first bird. They are terrific and very sweet. Mind you, even a cockatiel bite hurts! LOL! If you want any chance of getting a talker, your best chance is with a male. Good luck to you.
Lol thought this was Gilmore girls... But if u put a backwards baseball cap on that bird it could be Luke :P

The right time means everything. Be prepared and you can really let them thrive.

yay! He looks like a cheeky lil guy!
I want to get a bird. But this breed (although awesomely clever) is way to expensive.
So I think I'm getting a cockatiel. I hear they arent the best talkers but if it does talk. The first thing I would try to teach it is "I love you"
