Oh You simple -minded SOB when you finally grow up you will realize what I mean. I feel so sorry for you,,,I Hope you have a good life because you obviously dont get it. I hope YOUR GOVERNMENT will take care of you because you apparently dont have the fortitude nor the intellegience to do it for yourself. Good luck,,you will need it
Oh By The Way,,The Gays, The Blacks, The Career women, the Latinos, the immigrants, the native Americans, and the Etc's are not what made this country Great,,you know it as well as I do, even though you and other Liberals will NOT admit it,,It was the White American Males that made this the greatest country on Earth and the rest of you are destroying it
Close your eyes and go back to a time of 25 cent burgers, 30 cent gasoline, and hot rods! You're 16 again and you just got your driver's license. America was worth living in and the worst thing that could happen to you is to have a zit on prom night. Those were the days! Kudos to us old folks.
I am 41 (Born in 1971)...Who cares...young or old, we still have ears to listen to whatever we want, just enjoy it. If you close your eyes while doing so, you can actually go back to that time, that's what makes this music so wonderful.
@classiccarguy93 *cough* 16-year old *cough* and a greaser. But you are right that MOST of my age group do. But I'm in a group on facebook, well several closed groups, for greasers, and pinups. You'd be surprised how many of them are around my age.
@ABoredGreaser I too would consider myself a greaser. I've been listening to 50s and since i was a little kid. I sounded like an old man, but I'm really 19. I listened to this music by choice...my parents never introduced it to me. I fumbled through my grandma's old vinyls and found "earth angel" but the penguins from 1955, and ever since roughly 1997 ( i was 5), i've been hooked.
@classiccarguy93 ah, I see. Well That's awesome. I've just alway been fixated on music from 54-94 ever since i could even distinguish what music is. Mostly 50s and 60s. But I do love a lot of grunge as well, and punk rock, etc. Theres also this kind of music called Psychobilly, I dont know if you've heard of it. But its pretty much you take, rockabilly, add it with 80s-ish metal, and give it horror themed lyrics. It's pretty awesome.
Sorry, but I doubt Kennedy would have expanded Vietnam. He consulted with President Eisenhower about it and Ike told him there was nothing that could be done there and it would be a good idea let them fight their own battles. Kennedy may have been on opposite sides from the Republicans, but Ike was a brilliant general and JFK listened to him. Remember, it was LBJ who made Vietnam the disgusting saga that it turned out to be.
Classic Doo Wop! I'm 31 and I been listening to this type of music since I was about 10 . I loved it then and I love it more now. There will never be an era in music such as the 50's and early 60's door wop...LOVE IT!
Consider even Rock and Roll is no longer recognized, people have no idea what it is; The Rock and Roll hall of fame constantly elects people into it that have absolutely nothing to do with Rock and Roll. For example, Madonna and the Stray Cats both started their careers at exactly the same time, yet she is in the Rock and Roll hall of fame and they aren`t!
Well someone needs to build us a time machine so we can go back and warn JFK not to go to Dallas and warn Buddy, Richie and The Big Bopper not to get on that plane.
@HoboGus If we did, I wouldn't want to come back! Imagine that alternate reality. Would JFK have stopped the Vietnam war from ever happening? Think of the countless lives and families on both sides that would have been saved from the ravages of war.
Had the music (And JFK) never died and the Vietnam war never been: What would we hear on the airwaves today? Would Buddy Holly have stopped the British Invasion? When you get that time machine, save me a seat Bro! Lets rescue Eddie Cochran also!
@tomvercetti It really wasn't that great if you were gay, black, a career woman, latino, immigrant, native american, etc. I'm not trying to spoil your nostalgia but to be sad that America is not the oppressive regime it once was is crazy. The music, however, has taken a turn for the worst. Long live Rock & Roll!
Ok, why are you listening to it then? I agree this song isn't the best doo-wop song, but I'm sure it's got to better than whatever you're listening to.
It is nice when teenagers appreciate this music. I love the classics. The classics are about all I want to listen to. Thank you themoparguy. Mikie D. Visit the song I wrote; I'm not a bug Squasher. on YouTube. I made a music video. Enjoy.
I'm 18 and I enjoy this music you call crap. I don't care what music you listen to, but you're insulting the classics. This is DOO WOP and early Rock N' Roll. These are the songs that started the new big trend. If you can't respect that, well then you're Scheiße! If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say a dam word at all!
