  • Grade- C

Needs rock guitar and wall of sound percussion; especially drums. More EWF than Chicago..bummer. No trombone. EWF is too tinny in parts. Might have worked 20 yrs ago but ain't cuttin it

  • Yeah thats how ya lay it down. Damn it's tight, I must say. Brilliant

  • simply great music!

  • THAT'S THE SOUND!!!!!!!!!! YEAH MAN YEAH!

  • sorry. The origonal "YOU" was on EWF's "Faces" album, not "I AM"

  • This is the 3rd song released by EWF entitled "You". 3 entirely different songs. The first one was on "I AM" and the second was on 'Touch The World"

  • anyone has the lyrics to this song

  • the track was written by the EWF musical director, and the lyrics and melody were co-written by Philip Bailey and this new young artist Ryan McDermott - look him up on youtube. definitely an amazing song!

  • Just Fantastic!!!!!!!

  • EWF OR CHICAGO OR BOTH? WINDOWGUY?

  • This band has been going strong for years!!

  • You know i would buy this song, however listening for Chicago voices. Bill is not my idea of a Chicago original voice. I had no idea Bill had left Chicago

  • lost of words....so damn spetaccolo

  • How they shafted Bill?

  • still bummed about how they shafted Bill...

  • I heard this in Minneapolis and this song jammed...

  • o may.... great sound !!! brass section amazzzing !!!

  • Who wrote this?

  • I believe the Musical Director of EWF wrote this song. Amazing!

  • These bands work together so well . . it is absolutely amazing to watch them live. The power of the two horn sections is stunning.

  • I heard this song live, So awesome

2 great performers ,You, no one but you,

If they ever come to your town and you love these 2 bands, They are sooo worth going to see. Seen them both july 14-09

First E,W,F, came on, and then Chicago, And then both bands together on stage .

(WOW) What performers, Smile & Peace

  • I agree it has EWF all over it, except for the Champlin groove in verse 2 which i love. Nice tune overall!!

  • bad horn combo.. at the concert it was evident that the mighty became even mighty mighty with ewf and chicago. i really enjoyed. both are so dynamic. I being a great ewf fan but chicago has been in my life as well i've enjoyed the music. you will enjoy the concert

  • There DVD of their concert a few yrs ago was such a huge success, I'm surprised it has taken them this long to produce some studio work, but glad to hear it.

Interesting to see how they have blended their signature horn arr. EWF's few bars at a time Staccato horn arr v Chicago's longer passages w/ several Crescendos & Diminuendos in many phrased. Nice blending of their styles. Look forward to a CD release soon.

  • Great collaboration. I am a huge fan of both groups. I hope this becomes a successful hit record. EWF had a great comback album in 1993 and Chicago's comback in 1997 was just as good.

  • @watermanandyg

EWF actually had their comeback album back in 1987.

  • Classic!

  • to me, it has EWF sound all through it. But true, it also could be on a Robert Lamm solo album. It's a very good song, those who love R7B/Jazz will like it very much. I hope the EWF/Chicago album could be a reality because it would be very good for both bands careers, and it's kind of an innovative thing. It's not so usual for two different bands to get together to do a whole album!! Time will tell if this turns into a reality.

  • an album between both band would create the ultimate supergroup!!!

  • sounds like a robert lamm solo song, great! thank you for posting

  • yeah, i love his solo songs. you're right about this sounding like one of his solo songs.
