your cpu score is awsome! I got roughly 36k on normal clock speed...maybe ill also overclock mine if it makes that much of a difference

@AVAStarwars It's because the gpu is doing most of the work, turn off physX and the score will be different

Vantage is kinda a poor benchmark, your cpu score is super inflated because of Physx. I've seen a Physx card added to a ATI system and it pumped the cpu score up by almost 30k. 06 doesn't have that issue.

CPU= Phenom II 955 X4 @3.8Ghz

MB= Foxconn Destroyer

MEM=HyperX Pc8500 DDR2

30% overclock on Northbridge, and CPU.

A single gtx 295 normally gets around 25,000 in vantage with a i7 cpu & no overclock

i7-920 is 2.67GHz to be exact and its so easy to overclock just to settings in bios and your done!

I get about E64684 in 3DMark Vantage when i overclock my processor to 3.55GHz. I top 600 FPS with 275 in SLI.

My i7 920 gets about the same score but to be fair it's clcoked at the stock 2.66Ghz not 3.9Ghz. :p

My GTX 275 gets a lil' bit lower but I'm using fairly old drivers with it at the moment (the latest give crappy performance with Windows 7).

Yes, I think so, you can easily overclock it so it beats the gtx285(stock). But a overclocked 275 cant beat a overclocked 285

lol my gtx 260 216 55nm non sc edition, last time i checked did more than 14064 and my q9450 was only oced at 3.4ghz now i have it on 3.6 but e benckmarked it at 3.6 and 3.8 and also oced more the gpu without fragments and i was blowned away xD

but i only have the 3.4 benchmark, i have to do it again, but for now u can have the 3.4 one to make shure i dont lie xD

I think I will be using Nvidia in my new build. Moreover, GTX 275 is on sale @ Newegg, which makes it $20 bucks cheaper than ATI 4890. However, I am waiting for GTX 275 1.7 GB to get cheaper. In addition, can you use GTX 275 with GTX 295 in SLI?

No you cant use them in SLI and the 1.7GB version will not give you any better fps than the 896mb version, It will only be difference on very high res. like 2560x1600 so go for the 896mb version!
