If they mean the bands emotional then I would hope the band talked about real matters and discussed emotional topics. I don't think a bands "label" should really matter since most bands don't label themselves but instead focus on the music. If you like the music then listen to it. If you don't then don't but don't bash other bands and other people's music choice on the internet.
