  • Dude..i farted

  • whats in like in labor

  • nikkie you look like my friend

  • @1000starrystar Sorry i spelled it wrong

  • damn remember when they would keep you in the hospital for a least a week or so..now soon as you drop that load they got your bags packed at the door like yeah congrats you aint gotta go home ...but you loool

  • look at her face in the hospital compared to when she was at home LOOL!

  • lol im so sorry but this made me laugh out loud. When your huband would talk to you and you would just stare at him bc of the pain. I know that's how I will be too like, "dont...talk" hahaha

  • thats really good to show your number at 7:39

  • @misscrazychick2000 LOL just thought the same thing.

  • awwww bless your heart thank god its all better right

  • im getting irritated at the woman's husband...

    instead of supporting his wife...

he always says "SO WE ARE STILL HERE"

    congrats by the way!

  • Congrats on ur new baby :)

  • @estheraline, i also have two kids but decided to go for the epidural it was too much for me but with this pregnancy i hope to go all natural breathing helps a lot and if i put my mind on it i can do it

  • so how long after the 28 week video did u go into labor?

  • Awh, you were in so much pain and I was like "Oh dear.. poor thing!" then you got the epidural and you could tell you actually felt like the bomb! So cute.

  • was it painful?

  • Why wouldn't they let you film the birth?

  • Yup. I am having a home birth.

  • It's actually not as painful as people think to do it naturally! I have 2 kids my oldest is 2 1/2 and my youngest is a month old. Both were natural births. All you need to do is get your mind in a good place, stay calm, breathe and when you have contractions push with them and you won't feel the pain. It's more of an irritating feeling than anything.

  • No offense, but someday when I'm pregnant....If my husband is in the room with me taking video like this, I'm going to shove the camera up his ass, lol. That is far far too long to endure that, haha! God Bless you..

  • Wow.

Yeah, I definitely NEVER wanna get pregnant EVER! lol

  • hahahahaha

"how does it feel baby girl?"

her face she was like really, you have to ask, im sorry it's not funny and i cant imagine the pain you must have been through but i did kind of laugh at that

  • Good job girl:-)

  • One more comment to my previous one... fear and lack of privacy at a hospital can not only cause labor to go into reverse (the baby going back in or the cervix closing up some again) but it can also stall labor and delivery for hours, which tends to freak doctors out. Definitely important to try to find some anxiety soothing techniques during this time! Music, scents, or just ppl you want there to be w/ you can help a little.

  • If anyone's interested, there's an awesome childbirth book that was recommended to me by a midwife called "Ina May's Guide to Childbirth." She's one of the leading midwives in the country. One interesting fact, fear and lack of privacy during labor and delivery can actually make it go backwards! A cervix that was dilated can close again. I highly recommend reading it! Lots of good tips and info on hospital meds and practices.

  • Wish they could have let you move around to help ease the labor pains a little bit. Like a birthing call, rocking chair, and walking. Also, taking a shower/bath can do wonders! I like the hospital I'll be going to. The rooms are really spacious so a lot of options are available. I'll have to put up a video myself once our baby is ready to come into the world! Also, I plan on getting an epidural when the pain becomes too unbearable!

  • My baby is due april of 2011, you made it look super easy! at first i was a little scared about getting the epidural but not anymore! there is noway im going natural! great video!

  • that is a little room

  • 32 weeks....Ready to get going but SO scared! I'm going to be induced and I'm likely to have a C Section

  • I loved this video. It's very real. Young people being honest about birth, as opposed to people trying not to curse. You can tell you love each other very much.

    Loved your boyfriend/husband's comments :)

  • lol the most truthful statement 3:53 "this sucks" is sure does. im due in a wk, i was with my sister when she was going through this 2 months ago. and i feel really bad for myself :(( but in the end its all happiness

  • Congratulations with your baby!

Since you got the epidural, how long time did it take before you were able to walk again?

  • Wait did you try to speed up the labor and when your water breaks it dosnt leak for a while its like a gush of water you were prob leaking leaking mucus not water that can happen like days before or durring labor

  • I fucking hate labor. it hurts, it feels like shit, i threw up the WHOLE 6 hrs. and then the delivery hurt like fuck balls, but it was all worth it once i held my babygirl <3. I don't want anymore kids anytime soon after that though lol no way

  • Whoa. She seemed so good and energetic after the baby being born. I would have been passed out and exhausted. CONGRATS! :)

  • but look at how happy mommy is after all that pain. :-) is not so bad.

  • Thanks for the video. In 4 months im next. lol :-) my bebe moves alot. I told him to come out fast. lol

  • Dad needs to grow up just a bit. My husband never would have acted like that while I was in so much pain. Dude! What's up with that? Mom you did great! Beautiful baby girl. Congrats!!!

  • what a great video! Thanks for sharing!

  • omg she is so adorable. i still find it amazing that in 6 weeks time i'll have 2 little boys. watching this just makes me more excited. i know this is an older video but i still have to say congratulations on your little one.

  • Can you say stoned?

  • how cool are you?! I named my first daughter Jaidyn Leah...great minds... =D

  • I love the quote from the daddy at the end, "I forgot how to live!" lol congratulations, your baby is gorgeous!

  • Not to be rude, I would have socked my husband right across the mouth if he had the same voice as your husband and kept irritating me like this! OMG! Poor you. Thanks for posting this video though!

  • @JulysTanzanite oh and for your husband to be complaining about the labor room... you should have gone to a different hospital! I have 2 hospitals within 2 miles of me, I am chosing to go to a dr with hospital privileges at a better hospital that is 40 mins away!

  • @JulysTanzanite That would have driven me NUTS! He irritated the hell out of me and I wasn't even the one giving birth, thank God!

  • To the father in this video, why did you do this to your lover? (Cause her to suffer like that)? Do you need some condoms? I have some that I can mail to you

  • Comment removed

  • Hehe my name is leah:)

  • You did great! I was induced for 8 hours because my labor would not go on its own so I know your pain. . .Childbirth is a beautiful thing!

  • is there any advice you could give me to make labor easier? cause i'm only 17 and 30 weeks pregnant and i'm really scared :(

  • I'm 27 weeks with my first kid, my son and this video is so awesome. I'm nervous as hell and this just makes it seem like everything is going to be ok.

  • Awesome video. I would have punched my husband if he giggled during my labor, BUT I got the epidural before my pitocin. Unfortunately it was all for nothing, cause I ended up with a c-section, but it was still all worth it! Congrats!!!!

  • Wow. I cant believe u were sitting up right after like nothing happened. YAY theres hope for me too i guess. and OMG your starbucks looks so goos. im putting that in my hospital bag.

  • @ maggielou2010 the nurses should help you with all your questions as soon as your in the hospital. dont worry theres always someone there to help you.

  • @miba5313 That is true, but it is not a good idea to ever go into a situation without previous research. I would NEVER suggest someone just go to a hospital and expect that because someone is going to help them they should not do research. There are many options and it's important to know the pros and cons and risks of everything!

  • if you could make a vid about the pain meds that would be great! cuz my doctor... idk what it is but he doesnt talk to me and when i have questions he doesnt want to answer me n my friend mal who had her daughter bout 2 yrs ago told me about something they give you in an IV but idk... i just feel so lost n clueless on everything

  • this is probably gonna sound stupid but... how did it feel to get the epidural? did it hurt? or feel like a pinch or a sting?? im 28 wks n 4 days (i turn a week every thursday too :)) n im super nervous about labor... my pain tolerance is very low lol you handled it really well!!!

  • @missmaggielou2010 With the epidural there was a small pinch when they give you the initial shot to numb the area, so that they can insert the catheter. It was not bad at all and SO worth it haha. Don't be nervous. Make sure you know your options of what is available to you for pain... and make your choices about it before you go in. If you wanna know more about it maybe I will make a video on the pain medication options.

  • Hey why did the hospital not let you film Leah's birth?

  • @TheMissJess13 They didn't let us film because the hospital was undergoing renovations and we had to give birth in the delivery room... now you give birth in your own labor/delivery room and you can film. It's for liability reasons :(

  • great vid and great partner best to keep upbeat and ccongrats on the birth of your beautiful little girl x

  • damn idk how u did it...being in that much pain with him tryin to talk to you and being annoying lol i would be goin off and throwing stuff at him! you got patience girl

  • @charmedmarieamh LOL... I actually loved having him there with me! He was sooo supportive and amazing. I asked him to film. Haha!

  • you read so much about natural childbirth but there's a lot to be said for experiencing birth without pain (like I'd know...i don't have kids)...you seemed present and you seemed to enjoy the birth...congrats, N!!!

  • aww man I am SOOO getting an epidural!!! :)

  • I wish my husband was this helpful during labor rofl.

  • can U tell me which hospital is good ,,for labor in NY,,JAMICA..

  • @ashrafmony There are a bunch that are great around here, private message me if you want to talk about it.

  • OMG! This just reminded me to put up the shade! Great video, guys! My wifes due date is tomorrow and we're having a little girl as well! SO EXCITED! I'm doing something similar to this from a daddy perspective. I hope we get as good of footage as you guys! Congratz!

  • TEAM EPIDURAL!!! yea lol

  • This little girl is so lucky! What a pair of loving, funny parents! Congrats to the both of you! I was cracking up with your comments during the video :)

  • Aw thank you so much! That is so sweet :) Haha yeah, Jon is so silly.

  • Haha I wish I was a boy, they have it easy! Haha "the nice man with the needle!" crack up! "we got the epidural" Has he ever thought of becoming a comedian? "apple juice and kiwi strawberry juice" lol. "And she doesn't feel those anymore" "tingly!" "she doesn't know her days anymore" "she's ready to start pushing" "today is the day you go home" "I forgot how to live"

  • I totally agree epidurals are AMAZING! Thank god for them.

  • Im so jealous!!! Im due Jan 30th and I cant wait any longer!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @stackeedooz Man I hope you had your baby:) Good luck!:)

  • Nope not yet :( But if she doesnt come by the 30th its time to induce. Im so uncomfortable I could cry sometimes. Plus I just cant wait hold her and kiss her.

  • I was due Feb 23rd. But she decided to come Christmas Day...nine weeks early. But shes great. She's my first. Is this your first?

Good luck:) I'm excited for ya.

  • Is this your video post? You must have been freaked to be 2 months early. Hope everything went o.k.. Yes this is our first baby. If we have another it wont be for a few years at least!!!!

  • omg thats my birthday

  • haha u guys are suuuch a cute couple~!!!

  • Thanks!!

  • Congrats on your baby girl...I'm 38 weeks today and I'm so excited about it :D Watching your videos had given me so much information about what to expect in labor. Leah is a beautiful baby you are such a lucky mommy<3

  • Just wondering.....isn't the baby supposed to be facing backward in her car seat until she is a certain weight?

  • She is facing backwards.

  • So, did the epidural stop the pain of her head crowning and then, eventually, the whole delivery?

I don't want to feel anything down there... so I hope my epidural blocks everything!

  • i love this. you guys are so cute. makes me want to make one of my wife and me and our little girl due in nov

  • well she is hurting after 3 min of vedeo taping

  • she looks like she is not even hurting much

  • the room is so small but enough for someone to have a baby

  • it was the labor room- not delivery room :)

  • wow that is the tiniest wee delivery room! you guys are cute :)

  • Lol it's not the delivery room it was just the labor room... the hospital was under renovations ugh

  • YOu guys are so cute and funny Congrats

  • i...am...getting...the...epidural!!!!!

  • AWESOME VIDEO! LOL, thanks for sharing with us :-)

  • she is sooo precious. congrats :)

  • lol thats how i was i didnt know the day it was lol she adorable..

  • PS. Thanx for this video, it's amazing... Now, future mothers knows how it looks like. Tnx...

  • what does the pitocin do again? whay did it make you feel worse?

  • Pitocin induces labor by bringing on strong contractions that are extremely close together, and very painful. They are stronger than regular labor contractions because they have a higher peak.

  • oooooo look at the baby, she is SOOO adorable

  • I am 8 months pregnant and I really hope Im not gonna need pitocin :-((( I also heard the baby doesn't "like" pitocin... Anyway, can I say NO if they want to give me??

  • some OB's use a technique called "pit to distress", they will never tell you that though. and yes, you have the right to say no, as long as it is an informed decision, not jsut one side of the story (they usually tell you the huge risks of NOT being induced/augmented, rarely tell you the risks of inducing/augmenting)

  • What are you talking about here? "Pit to distress".. what's that?

  • giving you enough pitocin to necessitate a c/s and it is a disgraceful practice

  • jon sounds SO weird when hes talking to leah at the end!

  • i totally FEEL for you.. i had the same thing.. i was induced and my pitocin drip was at 164 when i finally got the epidural...when i delivered i was almost at 180..epidrual is awesome..

  • Congrats!!!! you did so well :D

I would have hated being stuck in that bed all that time with pitocin...i would have gone crazy :P

PS. I had my daughter a week before you :)

  • congratulations!!! OMG i know exactly how she felt! i did it seven times....

  • haha congrats! You reminded me of Juno between 2:50 and 3:10... hehe. Your baby is so beautiful! It was like she waved at the end! sooo cute! I still want to do all natural though, I'm nuts I know!

  • she is so cute!!!

  • she looks pasested at 3:07

  • Haha it wasn't that bad

  • I am almost 4 months pregnant and this is my first baby. Watching these videos kinda puts my mind at ease cause I know sort of what to expect. I just hope my hospital room is in better condition. I can't believe they put you in there. It didn't even look very sanitary. But congrats tho : )

  • It was completely sanitary and the docs and nurses were wonderful... the hospital was undergoing renovations in L&D. Congrats on your pregnancy

  • Beautiful video she is gorgeous!

  • the epi looks painful lol but so worth it after lol. definetly something i will be getting after watching this.

    i hate needles!!

  • She is so precious! Jon was funny. You were a little goofy after the epidural but that's ok cause it was cute.

  • Oh and my feet felt like icicles! I had 2 paid of socks on and feared that when I took them off I was gonna have blue toes like i got frost bite!! LOL

  • Watching this makes me think about when I had my baby girl in November. I went through the same thing, PETOCIN SUCKS!! I wanted to go without the epidural but my blood pressure got so high they recommended one to bring it back down. Then when I knew I was getting one the anesthesiologist couldn't get there fast enough!! Congratulations!! She is gorgeous!

  • Aww thanks for sharing!!! :) Thats how I get when I'm in pain, I usually tend to just randomly cuss here and there but just stare and don't say much. LOL She is adorable!!

  • i want to wish you the best and you be a great mom

  • Damn the contractions. Man I remember those things and they were awful, but I'd do it all over again. I got lucky though I had the pitocin after I had the epidural so I am sooooo sorry. I didn't get itchy from my epidural. Well she's adorable but you already know that. Take care youtube buddy.

  • aww I love the video!! John is funny telling the nurse that leah is gonna watch it when she gets old lol!!

    Leah is soo cute!!

  • Lol that's actually one of my best friends, he works in the hospital down in the ER!

  • This video was awesome!

I love how it went through the stages ..

You looked soo angry at Jon before the epideral but after you were all I LOVE YOU !!! It was cute.

    Thanks for sharing

  • Haha... I actually was NEVER angry at Jon the whole time! I was just in so much pain I couldn't speak much so I just stared at him.

  • Aww thats good .. well good that you werent angry not good that you were in so much pain.

    Thank god for epiderals !

  • She is sooo cute! Your hubby is awesome. "Do u wanna a cupcake." LOL. sOOO CUTE!!

    Congrats ONCE again Yall!

    XOXOX

    JULIE

  • How do you pee? I heard they have to put a tube in the pee hole when in labor. I hope not, but is it really true?

  • Not always, a cathater is only used if you are unable to move, so used on ppl with an epidural but usually inserted to drain bladder then removed, only left in for C-sections

  • Not always...there's more of a chance of infection if you keep having to cath them...some places leave them in regardless of what kind of birth is planned until the pt is pushing.

  • Ah I just saw this now and you left it one month ago! They MADE me get a catheter (which is the tube in the pee hole) when I got the epidural because once you have that they don't want you to get up. I didn't want it and it was really uncomfortable so I finally got them to take it out! That part def sucked but all in all it really wasn't bad.

  • They make you get an catheter because you CAN'T get up after an epidural. If you tried you would fall. A full bladder keeps the baby from coming down. It's also incredibly uncomforable to have your bladder filling up, up, up and not being able to go...eventually it usually comes out and you pee all over yourself...but really its because a full bladder=no baby coming down. (-:

  • most places wait until you have an epidural and you are numb before placing it. you will feel it go in but usually is not painful.

  • The mid tryed to give me a cath for no apparent reason, missed 4 times, eventually gave up stating the reason as "there is a baby's head in the way" GRRR. That hurt more than contractions or having a baby.....one and only time I swore at anyone during my labour

  • congrats!!!

  • Ahhhh she is perfect! CONGRATULATIONS!!!

I'm so pumped to have my baby girl after watching this!!!

  • It is so funny when he says look at those contractions

  • You three are soooo cute!!! You are so lucky John seemed so supportive.. Congrats again!

  • She is beautiful Congratulations!

You looked at Jon so many times like you wanted to punch him!! ahaha I know it wasn't intended that way but it was still cute!!

  • Well done!!

All the best with ur baby

  • What a great video! Loved all the clips. I will DEFINITELY be getting the epidural. Hopefully it works as well for me. Congrats... she is beautiful!!

  • Ohh Nikki =/ "I need a wee wee pad." You were so pitiful and miserable =/ At least Jon was supportive! I hear the "epidural" is great! You are like a diff person before and after the epidural...crazy! Ha! You guys are all ready talking baby talk! Soo cute!

  • Haha the epidural was HEAVEN

  • OMG you looked so much happier after your epidural!! :) im glad it was a smooth labor & delivery though! & now you both have a beautiful little girl!

  • Thank you!!

  • She is so beautiful! Congratulations! And good job having a baby is tough and it hurts like hell lol

  • Haha it's tough but AMAZING

  • That was soo hilarious! You were all like not talking at all then all the sudden when you got your epidural! HAHA! I LOVE EPIDURALS, i mean i just DON'T understand why people DON'T want them!? Hello? pain=gone! Why is there a question? HAHA! I actually felt fine except for the last few minutes, "the crowning" but everything else was AWESOME! She is beautiful once again! lol

  • Lol I was stunned into silence by the contractions! I couldn't speak!
