  • jimmy you beautiful creature

  • Isso deve ter sido gravado com um videocassete movido à lenha! rsrsrsrs!

  • Jimmy's so young here he has to play bar chords with his thumb on the sixth string because his fingers are so small :)

  • @mellvins0059

Actually many people play with their thumbs on bar chords. I do, and so did Hendrix. He said "youve got 5 fingers, why just use four?

  • @mellvins0059 It's way easier that way. Problem?

  • Wierd.

  • cute little James Page before the badass Jimmy Page...

  • lol everyone got a solo excpt for jimmy:(

  • puta que me paril olha o Jimmy page!!!!

  • genius have big brain... diferent of the bad comments guys that in high school wants to be a justin bieber...

  • Quite funny and very different from the 70s albums and excellent plays!

  • umm well a little different than what im used to, actually it seems kinda funny that this kid would become possibly the greatist guitarist of all time, just from being in this "skiffle" band

  • Little Page is showing great play, worms and other stuff.

  • ITS SEEMS FUNNY - Jimmy PAGE and the drummer want to become Biological research into brains/germs. Later on Jimmy Page would do reverse messages on songs in led zeppelin - otherwise Mind Control research. its strange these british want to do all kinds of research.

  • Thats great Page singing harmony and everything...

  • What a patronising fucking interviewer.

  • Did he steal that song too?

  • @Bigpolak57 Hahaha. someone's bitter about thier ignorance..

  • He looks alot like Billie Jean King when she was a young man!

  • This interview is somehow just fucking amazing.....how intelligent and well spoken the youth were back then (even though they are British), as compared to kids in America now.

  • so can you play anything except Skiffles?

interesting question.....to ask to Jimmy Page....bet that guy had no clue that cute little boy with a big smile becomes a rock guitar legend

  • Whats this about and which is jimmy page?

  • watch it halfway through and you'll see

  • @1above2 Jimmy was and is a GUITAR player, he did sessions in Britain for many years

  • @MetallicBill i know that but i meant at first i didnt know which was jimmy page in the video -.-

  • HILARIOUS...and yet so cool

  • se ven bien cgados todos jajaja

  • Hahaha! biological research, no jim! ur going to be in one of the greatest rock bands ever, come one of the greatest guitarists ever, and make rock history!

  • it was actually true. his biological research was gynecological with hundreds of groupies..

  • Holy shit that was one intense drum solo. I don't think Marco Minnemann could touch this guy.

  • @shinshoryuken hahahaha dude im laughing so hard about that

  • Shout out to Margaret. She married the lead singer!

  • I can't live without my litle iPod! :D

  • NEVER SAW THIS VERY RARE FOOTAGE

    THANX

  • hey...everybody gotsta start somewhere..nice job Jimmy

  • This makes me laugh.

    :)

    What a bunch of cuties.

  • 'Drum Solo Interuptus'

  • How old is Page here? He looks about 13 or 14....

  • If Nike can hide the tapes of Lebron James getting dunked on, Jimmy Page can probably find a good hiding spot for this video.

  • mama don´t allow no reefer smoking.........

  • Jimmy Page going into BIOLOGICAL RESEARCH!!! lol

  • this is jimmy page in 1957,way before zeppelin

  • This is actually pretty good stuff.

  • Hendrix was the best from that era.

  • and i wouldnt go as far as saying jimi hendrix is the best of all time theres clapton and van halen

  • lol jack this is the guitarist for zeppelin when he was real young and he is one of the greatest guitar players of all time :)

  • All the greats started somewhere.

  • You people have no sense of history--where the heck do you think rock and roll came from? It grew out of blues, jazz, gospel, and folk music. Skiffle, the blend of blues, jazz and folk shown here, was very popular in the UK in the 50s, and kicked off the music careers of Mick Jagger, John Lennon, and David Gilmour, as well as Jimmy Page.

  • Whatta you listen to techno or something? Listen to Black Dog or Dazed and Confused or Whole Lotta Love and then tell me they suck...fag.

  • This is not Led Zeppelin, try Stairway to heaven, Whole lotta love, Kasmir...

  • Cause this is NOT Led Zeppelin!

  • it isn´t Zeppelin. It is Jimmy Paige ... and his former players

  • this is not led zeppelin

this is some shit that people liked in the 50s look up stairway to heaven whole lotta love or kashmir

  • Christ!

  • magnificent

  • f*ckkkkk! Page when he "just learn" to play the guitar ..from a teacher! Nobody could imagine what James Page become to. GOD SAVES ZEPPELIN

  • you guys suck

just kidding, what kind of guitar is jimmy playing

    art

  • Metals.

  • Awesome bass-player!

  • Oh, and John Boneham's drumming sucks on this video. Why do people think he's so good?

  • the only good guitarist amrica has provided is james hetfeild and kirk hammet the others are horrible all the good bands come from austrailia or the uk or ireland like the rolling stones AC/DC U2 the who and iron maiden

  • Iron Maiden is from Cleveland you ding-a-ling

  • james hetfield? hes a rythm guitarist

and what about jimi hendrix? the greatest guitarist of all time

  • Proof that the Brits make crappy music. Jimmy Page sucked then and he sucks now. The Who was way better after Pete Townsend took over.

He certainly ain't as good as the best American guitarists of the 70's like Peter Frampton or Stevie Perry.

  • led zepplin created the era of rock n roll along with the blues

  • The Blue were created long before Lid Zeppelin

  • i knw the blues were long before rock but led zepplin rules and about iron maiden im not really that much of a fan lol i jus wanted to proove a point britain had rock goin before america

  • But you didn't prove the point. :( Sorry :( But you seem like a nice guy. Iron Maiden came out before Lid Zeppelin and they came from Cleveland, USA, the birthplace of rock and roll!!!

On this 4th of July, listen to Iron Maiden... you'll like them......

Breaking the law, breaking the law!!!

  • lol thnx ive only heard a few of their songs like can i play with madness and the number of the beast

  • Try The Trooper. Holy Crap! It is amazing! I can't play it. :(

  • owe yer i think ive heard it cant remember it though remember the video though lil bronze skeletons

  • WHAT!!!!!! thats the dumbest thing ive ever read haha

  • LOL they played Cotton fields XD thats really old song, ;P nice

  • he's like 14 years old...that's Jimmy Zeppelin..look at his face...that's him

  • He isn't Jimmy

  • He IS ... Listen to the clip: the MC asks his name and he answers that his real name is James Page!

  • no he isnt

  • You must be blind ... anyway, I don't see the point in argue with you!

  • ha biological reasearch... he has no idea wat he will one day be

  • damn.........jimmy waqs really tiny...lol

  • I could of sworn i heard this in a tom and jerry episode

  • yeah i know what you mean, the episode where jerry's uncle keeps on breaking his guitar string, and use toms whiskers as a string, yeah sounds quite like that

  • What a quiantly, cringing little peice of late fifties footage. Huw Weldon's nausiating attitude is enough to make the milk go off. Don't know how these grammar school boys survived it. But well done Jimmy!

  • what happens when the milk goes off?

  • I wanna skiffle!!!! Not bad for a bunch of skifflers. Who would have known he would become the guitarist everyone wants to emulate. Thanks for the great future music Jimmy!

  • Funny stuff.

Life sure was a lot simpler back then wasn't it?

  • I was there! It was great!

  • I remember seeing a video of this last year. I think it was from 1958, Jimmy was only 14.

  • that was an amazing bass solo,

    and with out looking.

  • hahha moving onto bigger things than that.. not

  • Comment removed

  • they were not the yardbirds

jimmy was considerably older when he joined them

  • that little boy one day would have been the God of rock...

  • And then the drugs took hold...thank god. :)

  • that guy is a prick 3:17

  • rofl, Drum solo at 1:46, that was BRUTAL.

  • Yeah. I bet Bonzo saw this and was in fear that he may lose his job!

  • Bonzo has nothing on that god of a drummer.

  • Haha, I love the sarcasm. :p

  • lmfao

  • I love how the presenter guy buggers up the title of the song.

  • has anyone else noticed neither of them are using guitar picks when they strum? They're using their thumbs, which I think a lot of older bluesmen (1920s-1950s) did as well

    interesting

  • Everyone watching this for the first time should go back and read all the comments from MargaretGW, she is married to the guitarist with the glasses. I think he looks like Buddy Holly! Another genius. British kids in the 50's are responsible for saving a lot of the old blues that we have all come to know. They loved blues, jazz and folk, and they reinterpreted it and made it Rock and Roll. All the British Invasion groups did old blues tunes, including the Beatles and the Stones.

  • Could you imagine if they had a Reunion Gig :D lol

  • guess what THEY R!! but the only gay part is robert plant is not singing dude cause john and him were such good friends he really wants to pay respects to him by not playing zeppelin

  • damn how old was he then??

  • He was 14

  • What a nice, polite young man that James fellow is.

  • yet another god-bless-youtube moment.

all of us should be happy he didn't get into "biological research."

  • hehe, yes i agree, great moment captured

  • I want to sack that interviewer until he can't feel his legs. What an arse.

  • cotten fields ?

  • Texarkana is on the Texas-Arkansas border (thus the name), about 25 miles north of the northwest corner of Louisiana. So much for being "way down in Louisiana, just about a mile from Texarkana."

  • As long as it rhymes ...

  • wow is that really him?!?!?!?!

  • Guy spoke with god himself...

  • "So, are you thinking about being a doctor?" "No sir, I'm planning to be the lead guitarist in the sickest band the world has ever seen." "Well then, good luck with that."

  • "What is your name? James Page."

    This is priceless!!

    Thanks very much, Tavaresom!

  • evolution of rock

  • UNIQUE!! To see such early footage of one who was detined to become one of the greatest guitarists of. all times

  • yes bonham at that age would be 3000000000000000000000 times better than him

  • You know they played different instruments, right?

  • oh i'm sure over the many years and countless tours jimmy's had plenty of chances to work on his biological research with plenty of willing participants.

  • hahahha

  • oh, i'm sure he kinda made a looooooooot of biological "research" in the years to come haha

  • incredible !!!

i didn't know he'd been on tv so young !!

  • that is not bonham

  • page dont wanna do any biological research he wants to play solos on a les paul in front of 100,000 people

  • Comment removed

  • You could tell Jimmy wanted to rock. Hey we all start some where.

  • 0_0" speechless.........

  • thats not zeppelin thats pages old skiffle band

  • i cant believe thats Robert Plant in the glasses. And look at John Paul Jones! The dude hangs out like he always did, and look at f*cking Bonham playing light weight, incredible.

  • how do you know that plant is the one with the glasses he never said his name........

  • I don't think that's young Led Zeppelin... it's just Jimmy Page and some other kids.

  • dude thats just jimmy when he was 16

  • hes 14

  • its NOT zeppelin

  • "james page" genius

  • i wonder how much u can do on a shitty kit like that

  • Wow. James Page. This is great because there is so little footage available of Page in his youth. The host is a little creepy. Who knew we were looking at the future guiding force for rock's greatest band.

  • he is 14 years old WOW

  • Lol, is jimmy on the left?

  • This video is pretty amazing! To think this was in the '50s and I'm sure an almost forgotten flick but the pictures and sounds are very clear. WOW!

  • Leave it to Beaver, or... Jimmy,...

  • Not enough brains? LOLLLLL

This is the guy who came up with some of the greatest rock songs in history.

  • biological research!!!! gets me every time!!

where did it all go wrong jimmy?! lol

  • O_________o"

  • "things a little bigger than that" i wanna find out how taht drummer dude turned out..lol bigger than the legend of rock and roll

  • I think he meant physically bigger hogam.

  • creedence clearwater revival did a pretty good version of that cotton song

  • the same eyes;*

  • We're really near of Led Zeppelin!

  • LOL The HEad SHaker!!

  • ha i wonder if jimmy remembers doing this....

  • There is no possible way he could remember this. It's way too far back..

  • He's not suffering from brain damage..he might remember.

  • Brilliant glimpse of a musical genius at the start of his journey.

    Thanks!

    Much appreciated.
