  • 1,1,1, 3 ,repeat,,, whack-on-3- play then hi hat .5, 75%,1.5.whole.com. Great song if you like things and stuff. Don't forget to accent that power stroke!

  • i watch this video all the time. i love the song and love the drumming.great.do it again with the extra whack.

  • NICE!! Thanks!!

  • can you explain where Stewart's opening fill actually starts on the barline?

  • I listened and listened, but I really don't know. One way would be to reverse the song and just write it down on paper. Reverse engineer you know.

  • I was waiting for you to hit the cymbal at the 0:56 mark !! My fav part of the song !!

  • 1:56 ... sorry

  • 1:54 .. ?

  • I need to redo this cover anyways, There's too much regulat audio. I forgot top turn on my overheads the day I recorded this. So I'll practice some more and not forget the bell cymbal.

  • What the heck? What kind of playing style is that, no flaming. Just i have never seen anyone play like that left foot on bass and right foot on hi-hat. Odd.

  • @cablerea I'm probably late to answer, but whatever...

He's left-handed, unless the image is reversed or if he is right handed but likes playing it the other way.

  • Once again it's me, the one playing in the video, I had to use a flat mirror in my small room to capture as much frame as possible. So the image is reversed!!! I play left handed driving my car because my foot's on the gas, other than that you can see the frame that holds the mirror. In addition thanks for the comments, they keep me going.

  • you have drum mics set up and yet you dont use your own track?

  • This particular day I forgot to turn on the phantom power on the overheads so my sound is very low. My sound is there just a little bit just not enough to overcome the sound track. Someday I'll redo this. I had a flood in my drum room and everything was ruined.

  • thanks man, I play bass, and I use your drumming to keep time..thanks..!!! absolutely awesome!

  • you're very welcome.

  • I don't know where you are in the world but I am in the Philly area....and I'd love to play with you...you rock!! BTW, Stings bass line was hard at first, but I got it in 2 days..not bad for a guy who has only been playing for 2 1/2 years!

  • solid

  • Very Nice ! and im NOT a Drunmmer ! Very authentic sound as well ... I saw 'The Police' 1982 Wembley Arena, London

  • I loved it. the only thing i can say is that it looks like you rest your right hand on your leg which as a teacher i something i always try to tell people to stay away from. But i loved the cover you have amazing feel and it just grooves so well. Stewert copeland is a god and you do him justice.

  • watching tonight, so good.

  • dude the intro was spot on well done

  • damn right, perfect in my book.

  • Thanks to all, I've been at this awhile. The comments really do keep me going. This is fun.

  • ignore the fools. you rock man.

  • funny that nobody hears the original drumsound, instead of that louzy one of yours...?

this is playing without any feeling. you should really practice more to even come close to the original sound, my friend.

    good luck trying!

  • Not to be a dickhead, but you can shove a lemon up your ass. Oh by the way, you don't think that I already know that's not my best performance.

  • OK, don't bother.. than post a better performance, so that we can hear what you really up to?!

  • Asshole...

  • It sounds great. This guy is a fine drummer, and even if he sucked, you don't need to shit on him. Christ.

  • Very good !

  • quand la musique s'arrete a la fin ya comme 1 vide

  • Love it!!

  • one of my favorite songs. im not a drummer but i can sure appreciate good drumming like this.

  • Hey man, what's your snare drum? It sounds good, gotta buy new myself.

  • My snare is actually an old 1965 Sligerland 6 lug Black Oyster Pearl. This snare is very swampy in sound with crome over brass stick saver hoops, which I really like. I put it through an equally as old Shure sm57 with a flat EQ on my preamps. The original head is still on the bottom along with the snares. I use a Remo Coated Ambassedor on the top and Regal Tip 5A's wood tip.

  • good job

  • Nice job :)
