Those are some of the most unusual - and some of the largest - centrifugal pumps I have ever seen. I thought it was particularly interesting that each unit was actually two opposite-facing end-suction pumps driven by a common motor and shaft. Does anyone know who the manufacturer is?

So they're peakers? I'm surprised. Thought most hydro's were base loaded.
