I've seen that show "I Didn't Know I Was Pregnant". ALL the women in the show have one thing in common. They might miss ONE period and go on to have subsequent ones which is the number one way they think they aren't pregnant. Some of the women who end up on that show have already had a baby and the second pregnancy is so different from the first, they don't realize they are pregnant.

Those numbers don't jive with what I've seen in rural America. Most of the kids who are home-schooled locally are backward and do not integrate well when it comes time to go to the public school after being home-schooled for the elementary grades. The kids are sheltered and that is not a healthy way to raise a child.

The Numbers dont lie and as public schools are going BROKE the number of mothers home schooling their kids is UP!!

Because the home schooling mothers have come to the conclusion that no matter how much money the government throws at the problem the students still aren't learning as well as they do from home with one on one individual attention.

Do you also have the stats where the children actually also get MORE social interaction vs the children in public schools?

If u watch the show you see the kids are alot of the times in far more social settings then vs kids just trapped in a classroom all day. Going to the store,Bank,Post Office,Music Lessons,Family,Friends,charity work and seeing how others live in diffirent parts of the world these are all REAL LIFE skills that all kids should learn,but not all do and they are also very social learning lessons.

I watch the show and happen to LIKE the Duggars. I think we got our signals crossed... I was hoping you had the stats (I had seen some years ago) where home school kids actually get MORE social interactions because instead of sitting in class rooms all day long they actually get to go out and play with other home school kids and go on more field trips with home school kids and what not.

It's not irresponsible to have happy well cared for kids....Whats irresponsible is some Libs. saying a child will get in the way of their patry life and its just a  "burden" so KILL it off. But, I do believe that the fundie agenda has hooked home schooling into their narrow concept of what is acceptable for so called "Christians". Some kids do fine w/home schooling but it should be a rare instance for that. Kids do not learn how to interact with those different than they are. They will not make it in the real world unless they want to just get married & stay pregnant & barefoot

What's with so many people getting pregnant accidentally? I've now had 3 close people tell me they were surprised they were pregnant because they thought it was fairly tough to get knocked up. I mean, it can be, but then again sometimes it happens just like that video we all saw in 5th grade.
