They COULD develop a whole new villain...but would that be a good idea? Villains that debuted in main series Mario games (as opposed to RPGS) usually aren't that well received until they show up in multiple games.

Got it as soon as gamestop opened. This is my favorite mario game of all time. I just loved it. Plenty of content. If you play it in 3D it is WAY better. Also, I am an expert Mario player and this was challenging. Buy it now before its sold out. =]

It is actually a lengthy game, I didnt expect so much out of it. @tryplot No, that's not Bowser. It's just one of those tanooki-tailed goombas disguised as Bowser. It's a reference to the original Super Mario Bros. where Bowser would turn into a random enemy just before dying unless you were fighting the final Bowser.

Bower stealing Tanooki leaves to empower his forces is pretty much the entire plot of SM3DLand.

They did the same thing they did with Mario Kart 7; Bringing an entirely new game to the 3DS and pay homage to the past in numerous ways. And creating levels in a Mario game? Jaw drops. Super Mario 64 was a game that actually made you "think" in order to solve the each level and get keys to doors.

Super Mario Galaxy are not as good as 64 because they are just too easy.

@KongDiddey SMG- Levels composed of several tiny planetoids , extremely linear.

SM64- Expansive sandbox style levels designed with exploration in mind. Significantly less linear and with more to do in each level.

There ya go. Different people enjoy different styles of gameplay.

(IMO) I found Super Mario 64 to be the best 3D Platformer ever made, Sunshine disappointed me by how the levels were different in the platforming sense in comparison to 64's, even though Sunshine's gameplay is deeper than 64's I still enjoy the traditional "punch, punch, kick" over "F.L.U.D.D" and the "Spin Attack". I also found OoT and MM better than WW. WW had more flaws (to me) than I had hoped. Opinions are Opinions I guess..

First Super Mario game that I feel weird about..

It was announced pretty fast after the 3DS was released, and I haven't heard so many people talk about it.. Unlike Galaxy 1 and 2..

Is it actually good or just an attempt to get cash?

@Lirankn It's good, it's recieved universal acclaim so far. 89/100 average score, which is pretty impressive I'd say. Not as ground breaking as Galaxy, but it's something completely new (2D turned into 3D) and all the reviews say how perfectly it's blended. They also say that this game shows off how useful 3D can be.

@Lirankn No idea on the length of the game. I know there's 16 worlds and each world has 4 levels. And each level has 3 hidden medals to collect (some are hidden, some are hard platformy wise). And according to IGN's review, world 9 onwards is pretty difficult and take many attemepts.

You also unlock Luigi afterwards (same as Galaxy) who has slightly different speeds and jump height/distance. So you can play through it again in a different style.

Sounds about the same length as Galaxy.
