Lastly, no the Phillies *ARE* a great team. You should have said what would prevent them from being a great team.
130 games into the season, & Phils have the 2nd best record in the NL, and like 4th or 5th in baseball.
Let's not forget Lee--probably the biggest upside player acquisition of the F/A and trades since 2008 season ended. Amaro was smart giving the Indians what he did, and not falling for Halladay and giving up our 3 best prospects for that, and should be given HUGE credit!
gimme a break..They just won the world series....Ibanez is an Upgrade over Burrell..Better character as well! If you ever saw him play you know what i mean..Please dont talk if you dont know the hell you are talking about...Freakin Philadelphia Media is never satisfied
I agree. Even with Ibanez slumping lately, Ibanez is *STILL* having a MUCH, MUCH better year than Burrell is doing this year!
These guys look foolish now with roughly 30 games to play--the Mets have fallen on their face and almost officially eliminated, and the bullpen is now the biggest question mark this year with Lidge's struggles closing out games.
If it wasn't for that, the Phils are a better team than they were last season with or without the W.S. champion trophy.
