@omg101man The cars now have a fuel tank which contains enough fuel to last them the whole race. The car is fuelled before the race. Once the race has started the teams are not allowed to refuel the cars during pitstops.

Unfortunately there were occasional accidents during refuelling, some fires, and situations like this one where the driver drives off before the fuel hose is removed.

This was the way it used to be before 1994, and since 2010 it is once more like this.

Refuelling during the race was introduced in 1994 and banned in 2010. I think the banning of it was one of the best things the FIA have done in Formula 1 in recent years.
