  • Still have this on audio tape.....oh yeah....

  • Thats upsetting to hear he's no longer alive, I got bullet from a gun in 1988 on vinyl. That was a masterpiece of an album

  • @godginrai1 Same here....also have it on vinyl. I got it on my 12th birthday from my sister....together with Ice-T's Power & Masta Ace "Take a Look Around"........... Best birthday ever! :)

  • "Yo D!"

    "Wurgh?"

"Show 'em how you do it!"

The working-class pitch of that "Wurgh?" makes me want to smash the mouth of the knuckledragger Del-boy brought in to say it.

  • This takes me back... I just keep hitting 'replay' on this on the mp3 player ..22 yrs ago had to lift the needle and put it back to start of track ;)

As good today as it was back then...

  • Fierce and funky as f*%k

    RIP Brother B

  • Genuinely shocked to hear of his passing away. Enjoyed his stuff back in the 80's.

  • So sad to hear of his passing, and at such a young age. RIP Derek.

  • hey, I see you are in 80's music, and you also looked for the clip of this song. Check it among my videos, I uploaded it (incomplete though) in March 2008.

    cheers

  • it seems fuuny to me that no one ever mentions easy q. dj derek b did the cutting, scratching, and easy q did the vernacular, word to your momma !

  • you do realize they're the same person, right ?

  • Definitely one of the classic late 1980's hip hop tracks, with the rhythm track being a speeded-up sample from "When The Levee Breaks" by Led Zeppelin.

  • I saw Derek B, Public Enemy and Run DMC in concert in Mannheim, Germany when I was in college and Derek B was the best act by far. Rap sure was better back then. Thanks for putting this up.

  • oh thank you. been looking for so long.

    love it..
