  • Blimey, was that a Lupo I saw?!

  • VIDEO4 videso WITH PROPER SOUND

    -------------------------------

Video Respobses (09:10,09:20 & 08:27) are later videos with proper sound. They are from MX5 races, very close, lots of action, worth a look!

  • Video Responses above (06:15 & 08:44) are 2 more videos using the Race Technology VIDEO4 system. We revised the layout to just 3 screens and used a higher quality main camera (520TVL). Sadly we again had audio issues. Having tested the unit this time the battery ran low and we got very poor audio, so poor I decided to overdub some music as the audio on this video was 'orrible

  • ahh terrible sound

  • Yes, sorry Wiz, seems the unit had the gain set at maximum. It was literally bolted together the night before and I didn't get chance to check the audio quality for the race.

Seems we are faited to have audio issues, on the 2nd test (see vid response) the mic battery ran down (after I did my test) and we got hardly any sound, so dubbed some music over the top!

    Next Time! (Snetterton 18/19 Oct)

  • It also so happens that I know Andy Neate, (the driver) well, he drove the car you see in the video 2 years ago and has driven with Daniels Motorsport for a few years.

Andy is a fighter and if anyone can pull himself out of this Andy can. I also have read comments that are less than tactful which also angers me but most of those have been from people who are misinformed.

I work in Motorsport and everyone is devastated at the news and our thoughts are with him, his family and close friends.

  • I have been working all day so just seen the comments. I read the post from Mrs Voisey and at first I thought she meant the driver, but re-reading it I saw it was the car, hence I didn't delete it.

I posted this video as there were many people who knew the VIDEO4 system was being tested and I'd promised them footage ASAP. This was the first bit of footage I had converted & chopped, never even considered posting any earlier moments.

  • I was standing right opposite the crash, it was horrible, it doesn't seem fair that the person who really caused it walked away without injury, I wish him and his family all the best and hope he makes a full recovery.

  • well all the best hope he gets better soon...my thoughts are with you all i dont know what it must feel like to just be living in hope... anyway as i said hope he comes round soon x

  • i didnt mean the bloke being smashed up i ment the car..im a girl i dont kno wat cars they are so i jus sed the smashed up car is the man in it ok anyway im off

  • Appolgies - have read so many blogs which are insensative and disrespectful, cant tell the difference between wanted information and tactles speculation. For your information, Im a girl too and know nothing of motor racing. Cant give out too much info, but all I can say is he's still critical but he is fighting. We all live in hope.

  • the driver in the TVR was andy neate and he is seriously injured with a very serious break to his neck. i hope he has a speedy recovery

  • hey i was there and seen the crash at the start.. do u kno if the bloke in the car that got smashed to pieces is ok??

  • Hi, 'the bloke that got smashed up' is my cousin, and no he's not ok. Sorry to sound a little bit harsh, but your description is hardly tactfull. His wife, sister and mother are on a bedside vigil whilst he is fighting for his life. The rest of us (family & friends) sit at home hopeless and praying waiting for news. A little respect wouldn't go a miss.

  • We did our very best, drove the wheels off it without 4th gear and got to within 1.6 secs of our best "full box" times. As you see, our car is production spec, not in the same league as the TJH car, they did a great job again though, their car looked pretty well bashed by the end.

  • We did get bashed a bit! Did have a few problems though, loads of problems with the fuel meaning we changed the fuel filter twice and the injectors 5 times! all sorts of crap was in them. We were gutted aswell by the fact during the front pad change the calliper had a stripped thread loosing us 7 laps to repair it.. Never mind a good drive by all and a great atmosphere around the pits/paddock. Well done on a good result. See you next year!

  • Nice video, and well done for the weekend! We was backing the civics and they did a great job!
