No, . . we DON'T "deserve to die". This is a tactic to get people feeling bad about themselves so they'll be more pliable. The truth is, if this god is real, everyone is acting according to this god's plan. No one has REAL "free will". Every step you take is preordained, including your "sin".
As for "the sacrifice of Jesus", . . . WHAT sacrifice? His "human body"? That wasn't/isn't his natural state anyway! And now, he gets to be worshipped for all eternity? Where's the sacrifice?
@DeavonReye Actually if there is not God then you never had the choice to say we have no real free will. You only said it because of the inevitable reaction of chemicals in your brain, not because you chose to say it.
@xThatxOtherxGuyx Brain chemicals don't really govern a person's actions. I have a TYPE of "free will". 7, . . . 62, . . . popcorn, . . . . random act of kindness, . . . . . pig and a poke, etc. A "Matrix" may have caused me to type out those random things. Who knows. Do I continue on with my post? Nah.
Like the comment that God is our audiance from start to finish. I like door to door becasue I can engage with people face to face and most times I get great conversations. But well done here
amen!!!

Very clear Message, and Yes we deserve to die for our sin, but thanks to God he sent his only son to save us.

The omnipotent ruler of the universe came to earth and sacrificed nothing. It was a self serving hollow gesture.
