  • LOVE the tail lights. what kind are they??

  • @jakelovescameo They're GTS taillight covers over stock Z28 tails. Bought them 11 years ago, not sure if they still make them or not.

  • Nice!! I painted my 87 very similar to yours. Check out my vid.

  • One question, I got those lens cover's for my tailights have you ever got a ticket.

  • @josh666675 were can i get those tail light covers and do they have headlights too but i really want to get the smoked tail light covers

  • does that camaro have a computer? Do you need to update it when you do things to it? What year did camaros start to have computers?

  • @TheChrisExtreme

Yeah, it's got OBD1 for the original computer controlled carb. The computer's all but disconnected right now. Not sure what year was the first for computers, though.

  • @TRSCobra so you dont need the computer on the car you can just disconnect it and it'll run fine?

  • @TheChrisExtreme

As long as you have an aftermarket carb, distributor, and cooling fan control. I left mine connected only because I'm too lazy to wire in a thermo-switch for my fan.

  • @TRSCobra If you swap the original engine with a older 350 that doesn't have a computer will it run fine?

  • @TheChrisExtreme my 82 trans am had a computer from the factory but it was unhooked before i got the car.

  • what? isnt that the iroc-z? the fog lights were only spost to come on the iroc :P maybe im wrong

  • @michelXShawn

It's not an IROC. The z28's had the option for them as well.

  • @TRSCobra since were talking about the fog lights could somebody tell me how to get the damn things to work? I dont know if there is a switch or they come on with the headlights

  • aeshidrklf

that sound when you let off the rev makes me cringe and hurts my ears

    what a shitty sound

sounds ok otherwise, but idles a tad low.

  • awsome sound, is it a tbi or carb or what?

  • its the poo car

  • How's that cam holding up? I'm thinking of running that same cam in my C-10 with a 350, but I've been hearing Summit brand cams have a spotty reputation.

  • Well, I've only driven it for a few thousand miles since installing that cam, but it still has power on the rare occasion that I drive the car.

  • listen to my camaro its the biggest cam the jegs brandmakes same as summit i run 11.63 in the quarter its a nice top in cam and holds up well

  • my 86 z28 has 3054bbl with 700r trans but i dont like how it shifts...its shifts hard its an auto will getting a lt1 match up good with the 700r?

  • it's normal for the 700R4 to shift that hard, mine does the same thing!

  • how the hell is that thing idling that low? my 90 3.1l v6 idles at 1100!

  • You probably have a vacuum leak. Even V6 cars should idle no higher than 700-800rpm.

  • i was told it idled at the correct speed, but i will check into getting all my vacuum lines replaced ASAP, i want my baby to run in tip top shape

  • @TRSCobra my iroc idles at 600 and i want it to idle at 800

  • @Fireinme81207 yup, TRSCobra is right, my 89 RS 305 idles just above 500 on the stock tach, which would in realty probably be 7-800 RPM on a more Accurate tach

  • @pntba11er16 You dont know how long i spent looking over my car after I found out my car was supposed to idle at 7-800rpm haha i got it working better now though, now it idles around a grand

  • hmmm, a grand is still high, mine idles just over a grand until it warms a little(maybe a minute after starting), then it drops where it should be, unless im in neutral, then its at a grand and drops down when its in gear

when you set your timing did you unplug the brown wire on the Pass side engine bay? maybe your timing is outta whack and your computer wont let the idle come down

  • @pntba11er16 I think my timings perfect as far as I know, I had the whole cover off last summer and the chain replaced and the timing reset at a garage so thats as much as i know

  • @Fireinme81207 still strange, i wouldn't know what to do unless i saw the car in person, are you on Thirdgen(.)org? tons of guys on there can help, my User name is Cavecock on that site

  • my cousin is giving me his 86z28 305 carb he just had rebuilt but it runs sluggish it has a new trans also would making it posi and giving it 373 gears give the ride more giddy up?

  • It'll be a much more fun ride with a 3:73 posi setup.

  • and if it's an auto, put an higher stall converter in the trans and should make a big difference!

  • damn i love that poping sound after the rpms go down!!! LOVE IT!!!

  • sick man, sick. i got the same set up but can't get it to sound like that when you rev. i want a diff muffler.

  • is it a tpi

  • No, edelbrock 600 carb.

  • 1:16 gave me chills :]

  • i pretty much have the same set up sound just like it very nice

  • Is that an 80 series flowmaster by any chance?

  • yep.. 80 series crossflow 3" inlet, dual 3" outlets.

  • Damn, I can't wait to get that muffler for my 86.. From 1:12 when you back off the throttle twice, That's about the best sound ever. Does it have the 3 inch flanged cat?

  • It had a 2.5" slip on cat, but there's no cat now and 3" from the Y pipe back.

  • Thanks for the info, I'm going with the 3 inch system, 80 series blah blah blah but with the 3 inch cat. Just to be safe. Lol. Hoping to make it sound like that.

  • can you say valve float lol shouldnt go reving it up in the cold nice z28 tho

  • nice z28 with fog lights weird but it looks cool i bet there not manny z28 with fog lights well as for 3rd gens that wasnt a iroc-z

  • Sounds amazing

  • simpy90 your a moron get back in your trailer cut your mullet and shut your mouth...you retarded redneck

  • are those american racing wheels up front?? Ive been looking at mags liek that but didnt know how well theyd look on a 3rd gen

  • Yep. They're american racing torq-thrust II's 17x8.

  • nice wheels, im wanting a set for my 84 z28 but i want 18x10's out back & 17x8's up front

  • lookin good man, i have an 85 that looks exactly like that

only your grill looks cooler, ill have to get one of those

  • thats sick man, chevys fo ev-a!

  • how long is your mullet man?

  • I keep it no longer than 34 inches.

  • hmm i get the same shit for BOTH camaro's.. how shorts your dick?

  • sick camaro

  • I really don't know. I thing it's just the flowmaster muffler.

  • NIIIIIIIIIIICE

  • hey what size cowl hood is that and is it easy to see?

  • sweet sounds n looks great im tryinn to find one thats standard n t tops figured id ask thanks bro

  • is that automatic?

  • Yep. Stock 700r4 with a B&M shift kit.

  • does it have a rev limiter if so what does it redline at?

  • No rev limiter, it's carb'ed. The cam is for 4500 rpm max, but it'll rev to 6000 without a problem. I don't do it often, since I'm running stock valve springs.

  • do you got diffrent rims side to side?

  • That's a good camshaft. Not radical but very responsive. Similar to L79 cam.

  • very nice
