  • @musique1975

Better than Michael? Don't make me laugh. And besides these clowns came out at a time when everyone was starting to get sick of Stock/Aitken/Waterman and their samey, repetitive drum machine loops. They probably did stand out but for all the WRONG reasons.

  • I'm absolutely shocked. I just found out via Wikipedia that all these guys are older than me. I thought I was the older one. The oldest is five years older than me. The youngest is 2 yrs older than me. The oldest was born in 1965.

  • @PhoenixxxStar then how old are u !? :-) ..... then in the 90 ´s they were younger !!!!!

We fought two world wars for this????? THIS!!!!

  • @daxyboyfuck I wasn't there so cannot really say. I know the wars happened though. Since you claim you were fighting the wars why don't you tell ? Or rather please don't.

  • Blame it on the Boogie, was written and released first by English songwriter Mick Jackson, The Jacksons than manager (Peter Kerstin) heard the track, took a recording and it went to the states for the Jacksons to make a quick recording. The song was jointly released in the UK, The Jacksons version was much more popular. Mick Jackson is credited as the songwriter on The Jacksons version. Great Track!

  • /watch?v=-iaM_vewYoo :o

    1.The original, Mick jackson

    2.The funky, big fun,

    3.The niggers/ kiddie fiddlers/ circle jerkin Jackson 5.

ok calm down im only kidding!

    well not really...

    JK!

    or not...

  • Big Fun, LOL! It was always LOL for me at the name! Can't believe I haven't seen similar comments made in the first bunch of comments! Even looking at them when they first came onto the scene and their poses for Smash Hits made me lol!

  • And here was the problem with Stock Aitken Waterman. For every Kylie, Jason and Bananarama, there was a Sonia Evans, Rick Astley and BIG FUN...

  • @Jermyn78 say what!!!! rick is from the 80 .s too .....he didnt take someones place or music ...its his own ...and he still sings and so kylie ....

  • @Alyssa0401 You're so right, Aly :)

  • not even close to the legendary jackson 5...

  • @kilLphiL280 no but its still kool thow....makes u dance!!!!!

  • @Alyssa0401 ;-)

  • souvenirs, souvenirs....la belle époque.

  • @FURY1958 i said MICK JACKSON not MICHAEL JACKSON

  • Blame it on the high, annoying singing voice and atrocious arrangement...

(I love 80's music and I'm not stuck on who recorded the song "first"... This is just a really cheesy, soulless wreck!)

  • I quite like this version as well as the original ! :D

  • ive never see a song so crappy compared to the original

  • FUCKIN RUBBISH! STILL

  • that guy in green windbreaker looks like Jim Carrey

  • Middle guy looks like Eric Close.

  • I remember this from when I was 16 years old. I was young, but even at that age I knew it was terrible music. Hearing it again confirmed my 20-year conviction that Big Fun were crap.

  • When I was young I liked this song, but back then I did not realise the Jacksons also sang this song as well - and now I prefer the Jacksons Version.. Anyways, the lead singer of Big Fun sound alot like Herbert from Family Guy.

  • Also to mention that Mick Jackson covered this aswell in the same year as The Jacksons in 1978. As with Big Fun covering it eleven years later and produced by SAW and as a short-lived boy band doesn't last long.

  • Memorable. Not the best. But memorable.

Around the same time period New Kids On The Block was really popular.

  • For nostalgic reasons, I actually enjoy re-listening to Big fun from time to time. Huge flaw though, they all seem to be singing all of it. There's no arrangement vocally as such. To the eye, they seem to all be doing the melody, but to the ear, I'd say there's clearly a lead singer. Who's the Robbie/Gary of the band? - they can't all sound the same like that.

  • my mum went to school with the one in the green jacket .. phil! (': xxx

  • Well Big Fun still is my favorite boy band......

  • *cringe*

  • What a load of shit!!!! man,i'm lucky this one escaped me back in those days.

  • I usually blame the cat.

  • A Mick Jackson & co wrote it - The Jacksons version is easily the best and most famous.

MJJ was not alone in releasing it.

  • BLAME IT ON THE B0:00GIE

  • this was better than Jackson's version

  • @multimill take a box of q-tips and clean out your ears. cuz ur wrong.

  • @SoJustCool in your opinion, not mine!

  • @multimill

LOL... Sure, If you like three tuneless tits who can't sing a note betweene, backed up by a recycled SAW drum machine loop from two years previous! Not to mention the fact they can't dance.

  • @Hulk2k6

    LOL!

  • MICHAEL JACKSON STOLE THIS SONG FROM THEM.

  • @amyparratt - how? the jacksons sang this - not michael Jackson as a solo artist.

Second - the record company gave the the song as the RECORD COMPANY had bought the rights. So how did Micheal Jackson steal the song?

Even Mick Jackson said - The Jackson version was better.

  • @amyparratt You ain't very informed, aren't you? Michael sang this song in 1978, and Big Fun made a remix in 1990.

  • @FURY1958 AMN'T you fucking faggot

  • @Comprised That's what your fucking mother tells me everytime that I fuck her, mother fucker. Have a nice day.

  • @FURY1958 <3

  • @FURY1958 wrong the original one was from MICK JACKSON

  • @tgms177 And what did I say? Michael sang this song in the Jackson 5 and of course was the original version. Just the same.

  • Huey, Louie and Dewey?! O_o

  • I like this version more, it's more powerful and stronger, and sound like disco! =]

  • @MichiZ33 pmsl you need to get your ears checked then lol it's a comedy show

  • @MichiZ33 you kidding me??right?

  • @kilLphiL280 i like more 80s songs so i like this one more

  • @MichiZ33 Ok no problem but man its not better that jackson's 5 version!

  • AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • totally unacceptable cheese

  • Its stupid thats why i love it ;D

  • pass the fuckin gun

  • Michael should sue them for this... OMFG!!!

  • @Amirkoo Can you sue from Hell!!

  • @Amirkoo u do know michel didnt write the song :)

  • i'm a big Michael jackson fan, so Michael's version is till much better, the vocals are superb by Michael!!

But i do love this one too, i remember going out many years ago, and we danced a lot to this song.. it's all about hapiness and enjoying the music

  • Big Fun does not specifically "pop". Pop is an abbreviation of popular, pop music (popular music), pop culture (popular culture)

Big Fun does "dance music", this cover "Blame It On The Boogie" is a "dance" song

The original "Blame It On The Boogie" by The Jacksons, is a "disco" song

  • This is AWESOME. I like the "good times" bit the best

  • It's so awful that I love it XD

  • @MatadorSushi You should try and find the pics they did for Smash Hits at the time. The tall one's pics should crack you up, did it for me and everytime I think about it! Anyone see The Pop Idol Episode where "Sam" sang this and Pete Waterman actually mentioned that he had a "hit with it with Big Fun"? Most people laughed out loud when he said it!

  • Ah good times at my local youth club discos in 1989 :)

  • Good Times part I was rofl

  • so where are all these guys now? Can't find any updates on any of them but Phil. Are they all gay?

  • what the fuck is this shit

  • soooo camp!

  • It is funny with nostalgia, I hate artists like this - boy bands and manufactured rubbish - but I will always love this song due to nostalgia. Going to parties in skittle allies at pubs etc when you were 12, 13 and 14 etc.... enjoying yourself wth anything from getting random snogs from girls you know at school to eating loads of cheese and pineapples on sticks - great times !!

  • worst crap Stock Aitken and Waterman ever produced, worse than the Reynolds Girls

  • hands down the worst video on youtube, nay the worst music video (and song) ever made. Holy crap.

  • Wtf !!!

  • The whitest people you'll ever meet

  • @chris20780

no whiter than Jacko made himself - at least theirs is natural

  • @HoraceAndTheSpider Oh please, you fruitcake lover. No, I'm not referring to MJ, I'm referring to YOU!

  • @HoraceAndTheSpider He probably just made himself appear whiter so the law would be more lenient on his kiddy raping charges...

  • goodbye jacksons hello pwl

  • @siamesepussy

Yeah, For all of five minutes. While the Jacksons would at least perform one time somewhere down the track, Big Fun were quickly forgotten about and everyone moved onto the next big act.

  • Dans les années 90 cette reprise avait fait un vrai carton, comment c'était bon :)

  • LUIS MIGUEL A MEXICAN SINGER SING THIS SONG IN SPANISH!!!

  • SAW made some strange choices when it came to covers. This was one of their strangest. The Jacksons version was very specific to the time it was released (the end of '78) and for a group to even be using the word "boogie" in a chorus at the end of the '80s just seems off.

  • :-))))))

  • Azokat a régi,szép, gondatlan éveket jutattják az eszembe............

  • all guys who are now 32 years old LOVED dancing to this at the school discos!

  • Jackson 5 is so better ¬¬

  • LMAO AT 0:26

  • Uh...Michael Jackson?

  • And i mean that because I can see how gay ppl think they are already!

Bullies! this song isnt that bad!

  • The Justin Biebers of the 80s

  • sounds like an early work of scissor sisters :)

  • Dip Shits.

  • Simply 'FAB, FAB, FAB' !!

  • fuckin hell, ill bet u these guys got bullied.

  • Even worse than Bros. At least they could sing and wrote their own material....

  • There's nothing Sex Pistols or Motorhead about this. A truly diabolical re-make of the Jacksons' classic. Thankfully this motley crew sunk without trace soon after the release of their one and only album.

  • With such a rich vein of musical talent that came before them to tap, Big Fun took the best of The Sex Pistols, Motorhead and Liberace and came up with a (one hit) winning formula!!

    How we miss 'em!!!!

  • awww i used love them as a little girl x

  • 80's Jedward excpet there are triplets!

  • the middle guy is George Michael's cousin

  • @msdjslick Looks like he's got the roundest butt too. heh heh...

  • are they european?

  • i like the beat but its gay

  • so gay i love it

  • And, they were so hot...!

  • I BET you DID spend the night in Frisco, at every kind of disco. Boys, I'm not surprised.....

  • brings back memories!! Was good back in the day!!

  • king of pop michael jackson r.i.p.

  • @JACKSONLANDIA but he didn't write the original .. mick jackson did.

  • They have destroyed this song!

  • @megaaaxd and yet you still watched it

  • They sing in sync but those dance moves, haha! White people dancin’, is that’s what it looks like. Homophobs are definitely not gonna like this one.

  • How does this suck, let me count the ways....

  • Az első banda, amelyikért rajongani tudtam... És akartam egy övtáskát! :o)

  • My goodnes. Whata gey band :/.

  • ANDREW STONE HAS MADE IT AT LAST!

  • Mark Gillespie came from Elgin. Possibly Elgin's only "rock star" ha ha ha.

  • werent they scottish? cute guys...I was younger then BUT loved SAW music! lol

  • all i can say is

    "WOW"

  • this is so funny

  • Wow This Is The Cheesy And Commercial Version Of One Of The Greatest Songs By The Greatest Boy Band Ever......The Jackson 5.
