Better than Michael? Don't make me laugh. And besides these clowns came out at a time when everyone was starting to get sick of Stock/Aitken/Waterman and their samey, repetitive drum machine loops. They probably did stand out but for all the WRONG reasons.
I'm absolutely shocked. I just found out via Wikipedia that all these guys are older than me. I thought I was the older one. The oldest is five years older than me. The youngest is 2 yrs older than me. The oldest was born in 1965.
@daxyboyfuck I wasn't there so cannot really say. I know the wars happened though. Since you claim you were fighting the wars why don't you tell ? Or rather please don't.
Blame it on the Boogie, was written and released first by English songwriter Mick Jackson, The Jacksons than manager (Peter Kerstin) heard the track, took a recording and it went to the states for the Jacksons to make a quick recording. The song was jointly released in the UK, The Jacksons version was much more popular. Mick Jackson is credited as the songwriter on The Jacksons version. Great Track!
Big Fun, LOL! It was always LOL for me at the name! Can't believe I haven't seen similar comments made in the first bunch of comments! Even looking at them when they first came onto the scene and their poses for Smash Hits made me lol!

LOL... Sure, If you like three tuneless tits who can't sing a note betweene, backed up by a recycled SAW drum machine loop from two years previous! Not to mention the fact they can't dance.
@MatadorSushi You should try and find the pics they did for Smash Hits at the time. The tall one's pics should crack you up, did it for me and everytime I think about it! Anyone see The Pop Idol Episode where "Sam" sang this and Pete Waterman actually mentioned that he had a "hit with it with Big Fun"? Most people laughed out loud when he said it!

@amyparratt - how? the jacksons sang this - not michael Jackson as a solo artist.
Second - the record company gave the the song as the RECORD COMPANY had bought the rights. So how did Micheal Jackson steal the song?
Even Mick Jackson said - The Jackson version was better.
pixelrow 9 months ago
@amyparratt You ain't very informed, aren't you? Michael sang this song in 1978, and Big Fun made a remix in 1990.
