In case you think I speak a lie about the remix, check for my username in the "thanks to" credits on the Advance & Follow V2 album sleeve ;) (The samples were hand picked from various internet porn sites and re-sampled by Ronan himself.) - Had to get my two cents in there, as I stumbled across this mix on here.

It was supposed to be a Remix of the Track "Cold" on Advance and follow to go on the Advance & Follow V2 re-release. It is available as a free download on the VNV website at the bottom of the press & Media page, been there since 2001.

I shared a flat with Ronan when this mix was made on his pc in his bedroom, we were going to start something called MIG-29, as side project of his, which never happened, the mix was done in a few hours and very quickly. There is no unedited version, there was an earlier rough version that made it onto the slimelight dance floor but this was the final mix Ronan was happy with.

I had the very neat opportunity to sit with Ronan after a show and I asked him the same question, "where's the unedited version?". He said there wasn't one and there will never be. His reasoning was that the mix is perfect the way it is and to un-bleep everything would put it totally over the top. You know what they're saying and that's the point... even something so explicit can leave something to the imagination.

I'll go on to say that there is nothing left to the imagination. It doesn't take much of an imagination to fill in the gaps left by the beeps. Over the top?
