@Deeharok I did a bit of both with this project, I had a basic design in mind, did some UML and did a little bit, realised that the code was inadequate and wrote some more.
Interestingly enough, I've started a new project, and I'm being a lot more methodical this time round, I make use of design patterns and try and leave my designs open to change, I kinda of try and design things as interchangeable parts as opposed to one big set of classes these days,
great work, man! I've had a strong interest in game development for a couple years now. i'm currently trying to move from python to c++ and i'm teaching myself SDL and later on, opengl or even direct3d. i don't know if you are still developing this map edor/game, but maybe a suggestioni think would be awesome to see, is network support. where you can run 2 users on seperate computers editing the map at the same time. just a thought... good luck with your game and good luck with college!!
@joeymjones Thank-you! for the interesting feeback!
I like to experiment from time to time, this was one of my little test tube projects, I would like to go back to it again in the near future, maybe when I have some time between uni and other projects, it's all about time management! :P
did you design this before hand and then wrote the code or just wrote the code?

Why do you include the Tile.h twice in the same file?
TheWickedPanda 10 months ago
@TheWickedPanda I never even noticed, it wasn't intentional if I did that.

Nice, you from yorkshire? Sound like it, if so, where abouts? ;D

@Samzsite oh no, I'm not from Yorkshire, but I am from the North.
I have an accent that doesn't really match where I'm from, I have what I guess you could call an "almost neutral accent"
ProgrammerInProgress 1 year ago
@ProgrammerInProgress Yeah on here you sounded a bit yorkshire but another you sounded slightly irish. Regardless, good work!
