@johnnyroyal75 What are you going to do about women who must work? Should they just head home and wait for you to provide their sustenance? It just amazes me to see male popping over to tell women what they need to do. Friend, YOU need to hand out spines to your brothers & remind them their RESPONSIBILITIES that take precedence over their ministries before you EVER say a word to ANY woman about her life or circumstances. Talk about chutzpah!
@walksbyf8h What are you talking about? I guess you are just angry about something. Is that what Christians are taught to do, blurt out whatever in anger?
I respectfully disagree with Mrs. Rainey. I think the scriptures are abundantly clear of what we are to be doing and not obscure. We are to be Submissive to our husbands, discipling our children, busy at HOME, sober, kind, reverent, and not slanderers. We are to be preaching the Gospel with every opportunity and encouraging others at all times. She missed the mark here by not giving ANY examples of Biblical womanhood. (Titus 2:4-5) (1 Thess 5:11)
@johnjenkinsjoanie So - you're in favor of paying for single women to stay home? What about those widows who are still able to work? What about them? What about the woman whose husband is disabled? What about her? What about the woman who must feed her children?
I think your comments, in general, are a bit myopic. Unless you can address every situation that women find themselves in; often through no 'fault' of their own, it might be best to keep that rigid view of womanhood to yourself.
@walksbyf8h ** My comments were strictly Biblical, Ms. Rainey was defining Biblical Womanhood, without using the Bible! This is a grave mistake. I did not say anything about woman working outside of the home, clearly there are times where this is necessary. But if we are to look for a definition of Biblical Womanhood, then we we have no right to define it because we think it means something. If you have an issue with my remarks, than you have an issue with the BIble because I was quoting Ti 2.
@johnjenkinsjoanie What I take issue with, John, is that you presume to come make comments about women. Where are your comments about men? Where are your directives to MALES about Biblical manhood? I'll say it again. You MEN need to start dealing with MEN and their issues; the women will follow. Kind of like that parable about removing the stake from your gender's eye before presuming to deal with the speck in women's.
@walksbyf8h **8 Ah, here's the rub. I am the Joanie part of the name listed. I am a wife and mother, focused on Biblical Womanhood. Your issue is not scripture, it's that you thought a man was writing the comments. The comments were cleary just about the model of Biblical womanhood, and written by a man or a woman the only issue is what the Bible says. The Bible has clear directives for women. If you have issue of what I have said, please refute it scripturally, and not emotionally.
Please go to the website for clear directives on Biblical manhood AND womanhood.

Where does it end? The changing of Biblical teachings for the desires of people? This pushes aside discipline.

@johnjenkinsjoanie I agree with you. Unfortunately many view this as the men vs. women for some reason.
