Wow, I still remember that day as if it happened just yesterday, too. I was getting ready for school and saw it happening on the news. I was nowhere near the action, but I don't believe we even did any schoolwork that day. We just stayed in the classroom and I think were praying for the people there most of the time.

I remember the day that this happened. I was only in 2nd grade. My teacher had announced that one of the towers had been hit. When I got home, my mom had the news on and was watching it. I remember it all clearly. I didn't quite understand what was going on at the time, but I knew it was something bad. Now, it makes me want to cry when I think about it.

8 years later I still remember where I was that day... I was in Denver, CO, scheduled to fly to New Orleans and was awakened by the phone constantly ringing and friends and family asking if I was OK or if I had been part of the "accident" -- details were sketchy at that point about the cause, which airline(s) were involved, etc. I got up and turned on the TV just in time to watch the 2nd plane hit the north tower and I remember being immediately reduced to tears. Thanks for the rememberance.
