Always played Jax as AP, 'cos I used to have the mindset that since most skills scale with AP, then AP is def the way to go. Then I realised AD is a lot more consistent in terms of damage, and playing Jax as a mage is... :( So now I build him metagolem. Haven't tried hybrid 'cos ppl tell me he's not viable.

i might sound like a noob but since the new patch i've built jax more around ad and as cause ive found that with a strong hit and that every third hit he deals more damage i found its very i usually got dorans blade than ninja tabi than Guinsoo's RageBlade than Hextech Gunblade than phantom dancer than Atma's Impaler someone reply and tell me what i should change/improve id really like help i enjoy playing as him i just found that that build usually works thanks :)
