McCain was considered a same party opponent of Bush. Bush has refused to go onstage and shake his hand on two occasions. I strongly agree on Ron Paul (we both know he has no chance). I just can't consider someone with no record. I believe his entire image is manufactured by dems. Let's face it. he had no intention to run for Pres. and dems had to convince him, to stop Billary. He has never held a pos. of power during any form of crisis. He has only had a couple of years in the Nat. spotlight.

Another thing...Barack isn't your ordinary conventional politician...HE IS AN INTELLIGENT EVOLVING HUMAN BEING!!! I found Obama's speech about race to be very moving. I think he's a much better candidate than Hillary Clinton. It's not just that I agree with him on most issues but also that he just seems more trustworthy/decent to me. (rare qualities in a politician :) )

As far as Obama, he reminds me too much of our Governor of Massachusetts Duval Patrick. Bill Clinton met Jeremiah Wright during a religious conference when he was in office, so the pastor must have some type of positive influence.
But when Hillary speaks all I hear is glass bottles smashing against a wall. I think Hillary is desperate to make it back to the white house.
My oppinion is the Clintons had eight years to do what they needed to do in the white house let's move forward. I am glad Obama explains himself, at least we get answers, Hillary is above being questioned.

Jeremiah Wright didn't say anything wrong. About the only thing he was incorrect about was saying the Tuskegee doctors purposely infected people with syphillis. However the doctors only experimented on and lied to the patients about what was wrong with them. Aside from that his statements when put in context within their individual sermons were for the most part right on point. Moreover, the media constantly underminds their viewers' intelligence. People who were'nt otherwise offended by a given article may become offended after watching the news. It's basically organized propaganda, which in my mind isn't all that different than the way some kids are ostracized and alienated because of what one jealous kid told the other kids. The only truly honest democrat running was Dennis Kucinich. The only truly honest Republican was Ron Paul. Obama may be honest, but he's not being specific on a lot of important things, so we have no way of knowing before people might vote for him. He certainly sounds good. That speech on race was excellent. America NEEDS that kind of thinking. But would he be better overall than Kucinich would have been? I doubt it.

US politics makes politicians into liars. The two-party system means they have to try to please everyone...so they have to fudge a lot of things. If the US had a genuine, open, multi-party democracy like most democracies do, then politicians would be able to say what they think and you either vote for them or you don't....and their party wins seats in proportion to their share of the vote. In the US, liars are rewarded by voters. Voters have little or no choice. Nor do politicians.
