  • Hahahah

  • Im was a contractor for Comcast and Charter for seven years in 3 systems. Never have I seen an inhouse tech who could take the routes I run and get em done nor have I met an inhouse tech who could match me on quality at that quantity of work. Thats why I made twice what you did. Got tired of crawspaces and retarded customers so now ive moved on the splicing fiber.

  • That's how they spool up cables in the back of the van when it gets messy.

  • and if ur from comcast headquarters, what is up with all those damn defective boxes,in particular dcts, some modems, and some dtas and emtas my coi's are too high and i have to suffer , because of faulty equipment that is more than 5 to 10 years old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • and comcast in house usually pick up more trouble calls , and leave the bigger jobs to the contractors which have take more time and costs the in house comcast less money by having us do these crazy long time consuming jobs, customers always wonder why we are always late, cuz we have to settle for whats given to us.

  • shoty work of contractors is because we get very underpaid and it seems like too much to go to a house thats already in bad shape as far as the wires go, we get paid too little as contractors, in house gets paid no matter what, they get paid hourly, us piece rate which sucks cuz u cann never tell how long u will be at a job.

  • @eastbay5l0 how about you stop being a useless contractor? i would never in my life be a contractor.

  • ive got a good one for ya.. i am not 10-99, but i work for a contractor for comcast. comcast techs come to our shop, train for a few days and quit. LMAO.. these guys are scared of the hood, big houses, wall fishes, rain, snow, 200 point joibs, rewires, flood victims, i can go on and on.. In house takes credit for everything. However the little guys, "contractors" get none.. You see comcast on the tv, but at the front door? you see us..

  • I've yet to meet a cable contractor or employee who had a clue what they were doing. This video doesn't seem surprising.

  • So did you work for ACI or Prewire?

  • Not all contractors are idiots like this one... I know of a contractor in Nash, TN who does the jobs inhouse techs dont want to.. Nasty, huge, dirty, scary, ghetto, etc... They do twice the jobs as inhouse techs. So you gotta think that this company is making comcast loads of money.. An inhouse techs route consists of approx 4-5 jobs, with a 2 hour break at mickey d's. This contractors techs do 10+ jobs a day.. Hmm.. They look like comcast, only better! And they pay full price for cable! WOW

  • i do that all the time...gotta post a vid

  • just so you know this is a contactor and not an actual employee.......

  • have to say the in house tech that did my triple play with his fancy comcast fish van left a mess, house box with one screw, no ground no P hook on the house used a nail, ( no sach clamp @ the tap, just tied the messenger to the line!!!) left all old SAT fittings on. I have to take pictures of all my work, I have to change every fitting , update all splitters remove all R 59 cable.. In house does crap!!!!!!

  • Contractors are too dumb to be in customers houses.

  • @kirbyyasha You're an idiot. I was a contractor that was hired straight on in house to train in house techs. So we are too dumb to be in customers homes but smart enough to train in house techs and supervisors. That doesn't make sense!!

  • @bwsheppard You're right. When I am changing a squirrel chewed RG-59 Dual drop to an RG-6, then rerunning every A/O because the contractor punched a hole with his screwdriver, and just ran cable all over the place in a single family home on a triple play, then finding out the same contractor did not disconnect the telco service from the NID. In my area, that's how contractors work. All that, on a trouble call. There have been maybe a select handful of contractors who do a great job.

  • @kirbyyasha shit dude i wish some of our inhouse guys did good work here man its a mix here i see shoty work from fellow contractors and and in house here

  • man i could never get away with this in my van, we have a really anal tech ops director and safety manager, they like to follow us around. sucks ass

  • contractors are always late! i dont think i could that in my comcast van

  • This looks like soooo much fun!
